Very large and roomy pub with multiple screens showing football and cricket. The awkward setup leads to crowds of people standing in front of the bar waiting for service and blocking the only only screen showing footy. The food was average at best. Additionally they had signs up declaring August was cider month and inviting customers to try the wide variety of ciders. A fellow walked up next to me and ordered a cider that the pub offered on tap. They were out of it. On Wednesday. During their self proclaimed cider month. 🙄 I asked for a large bottle of still water. Nope. Only small bottles. I ordered 4 bottles. And took them back to the table. I then watched the German server who appeared to be the shift manager, interact with at least 12 patrons. He never smiled once. Someone should tell him his face won't break if he smiles This place is right outside the station. They are capitalizing on tired hungry travelers and clearly don't feel the need to put much effort into repeat customers. Oh, and I forgot to mention the fellow who came to the bar to complain his delivery order was incomplete. Not a smile or an apology was forthcoming. When I left the bar he was still waiting.

Food is typical of a conveyor belt pub. Nothing special. You get what you pay for-sometimes badly. The previous evening I ordered a battered cod goujon sandwich in Bloomer bread from another Green King pub. When it arrived the bread was Bloomer but from a thin sliced loaf that you would buy from a supermarket. Having had many a Bloomer sandwich in other pubs where its freshly cut from a nice thick loaf I assumed they had run out so bought a loaf from a shop to compensate. Today at the Travellers Tavern I decided to try again, this time with a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich Same again. Another shop-bought loaf. Rubbish, thin, unbuttered bread (they provided a butter sachet should you wish to disassemble the sandwich and try to butter the thin bread) with some tiny, overspiced chewy sausages and a couple of bouncy eggs. It filled a hole and is convenient for the train station but if you want something decent for £4.99 then I recommend finding a local cafe. The one star isn't for anything except the staff. Friendly, helpful people who know they have to serve conveyor belt food and try not to be too embarrassed about it

Extremely disappointing meal and service at this pub.

I chose this venue because my family was visiting and staying near Victoria Station, hoping it would be a convenient option for everyone.

From the start, our experience was frustrating. We waited far too long to be served at the bar, despite arriving before other customers who were served first. This lack of awareness from the bar staff was incredibly rude—the first rule of hospitality is recognizing who is next in line.

Then came the meals—or rather, the lack of them. Both my cousin and I ordered the Flat Iron Steak, expecting an actual steak as described on the menu:

"14-day-aged flat iron steak served with house-seasoned fries and blistered vine tomatoes."

What arrived were six small pieces of meat, resembling strips for a stir-fry, rather than a proper steak. I counted—six pieces. The side consisted of a few tomatoes, watercress, and chips. For £18.45, this was beyond unacceptable.

I questioned the staff about this misleading description, only to be told "That’s just how it comes." The waiter offered an alternative—onion rings and chips—which was absurd, considering I was expecting a protein-based meal. I left hungry and incredibly disappointed.

Our empty plates sat on the table for quite some time after we finished, despite the bar being relatively quiet. Given the quality of the meal, I’m not surprised the place wasn’t busy.

Other dishes were just as disappointing— A pie that tasted like it had been thawed from frozen. A steak sandwich that, again, contained stir-fry-sized meat pieces rather than proper steak.

An absolute rip-off. Avoid this place at all costs. I can't believe a pub in Belgravia serves food of such poor quality.

06.06.2025 Was asked to contact the pub, I have called the number listed on the website and there was no answer. If you would like for me to contact you, can you let me know what time so the phone will be...

Waiting for my bus and wanting to kill time I ventured in hoping to have somewhere I could have a nice pint - and boy did I deserve one - with all the travelling I had done - and a nice rest.

Bar looked decent from the outside, and a small but boisterous crowd inside. I went to the quiet bar and waited to be served. And waited. And waited. Despite two people working behind the bar it seemed I was invisible.

Disappointed I decided to sit down for a bit and at least grab some free water on offer. But heck I came for a pint and a pint I should get.

So I tried again, and eventually I was served. Right after the African bar man finished his chat with his new friend. I knew he was African as he told his new friend he was after he had organized his get together for the after party he was going to have with this new acquaintance, who was very drunk. Nice of him to look after himself all the same.

The girl behind the bar was not much better - Asian looking lass - perhaps she wasn't trained to pull pints as she seemed very busy cleaning glasses and looking like she was doing something.

I think if you employ slave labour you get what you pay for - poor bar men and women. For a pub this was well embarrassing.

Anyway I eventually got served after my long wait - lucky me - The pint was expensive but tasted good.(session IPA)

But I wont be returning to this joke of a...

We called in here after an overnight journey from Manchester. Looking forward to a full English breakfast. If you enjoy a full English that is so dry that the bacon is like cardboard. The sausages like sawdust. Dried up beans. One tiny single dry mushroom and poached eggs. Which is as all stone cold then this is the place to be. Even the tea and coffee were cold and like dishwater. Then to top it off . Wealing and dealing going on at the table nearby. And insult to injury this cost over £20 for two of us. Seriously steer well clear. It's an awful place. Looks lovely and clean and cosy. And they did stick to the covid rules but the food and tea,/coffee are absolutely disgusting. After a long tiring journey we were really looking forward to a lovely breakfast. But ended up with something totally disgusting. I speak the truth. I'll give credit where credits due. As I stated. The place is lovely and clean. And stuck to covid rules. But the food it was as if they'd tried to keep it warm after precooking it untill it dried up. Then let it go cold. It was a disgusting meal. An update on this. I rang them as they requested. I was promised a refund and was told it could take 3 weeks. It's over 3weeks and no refund. Disgusting for somewhere that looked so nice on entering. The staff seemed nice. The food was terrible. So...
