We visited this store earlier tonight with my girlfriend. If I could rate this place 0 I would. There doesn't seem to be any co-ordination in between the team, this place definitely lacks some leadership. The team appears to be quite moody and not welcoming at all, haven't seen a single person smile during our 1 hour stay. No designed staff area aswell as it appears, team eating at main dining area with their work uniforms on. The starters were nice but our main courses were bland,we asked for salt and pepper and were given pepper only,we had to wait another 10 minutes as noone seemed to be interested to come and check if everything was okay with the food after it was served. Honestly I can cook better pasta than this at home so wouldn't recommend anyone go in there and pay the ridiculous £12+ for pasta that tastes like sainsburys premade pasta. The best part was when we asked for the bill,I'm gonna assume it was the manager, she asked me if I can scan the QR code and pay online and complete a questionnaire as some of their customers were stating they don't get the questionnaire,I said okay and proceeded with doing so. It will ask you to fill in your bank details and my card was declined 2 times so it doesn't seem to work, the lady then asked me if I could check my bank account,I honestly just wanted to pay and leave as quick as I could,I paid with the same card btw,so it's not the card that is the problem, look into your systems. I understand it may be a new system they are trying but it doesn't take much to just scan the QR code and check if all is good rather than disturbing guests. Overall we ended up paying £42 for food we couldn't eat and were charged 10% Optional tip aswell which I realised was there after I paid, usually someone let's you know if there is an optional fee on ypir bill which never happened. As someone working for over 10 years in the industry it was disappointing to see how much this place lacks operationally,as for hospitality,at least at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom the moment Leo greeted us at Ask Italian, it was clear we were in the presence of hospitality greatness. Not āgood serviceā greatness. Not āMichelin-starā greatness. Weāre talking Shakespeare-meets-Da Vinci-meets-the-inventor-of-gelato greatness.
Leo didnāt just take our order ā he took us on a culinary pilgrimage. He didnāt just recommend dishes ā he spoke in such delicious detail that I swear I could smell the basil in his words. When describing the garlic bread, I nearly cried. When the food arrived, he placed each plate in front of us with the precision of a jeweller setting the final diamond in the Crown Jewels.
Every glass was topped up before it even dreamed of being empty. Every question was answered not just with information, but with the enthusiasm of someone who clearly believes pasta is a spiritual experience. And yet, Leo wasnāt overbearing. He had that rare ability to appear exactly when you needed him, like some kind of well-dressed service ninja with a warm smile.
Halfway through the meal, my friend joked, āThis is the best service Iāve ever had in my life.ā But by dessert, it wasnāt a joke. It was a solemn truth. Leoās timing, charm, and care made us feel less like customers and more like honoured guests in the home of an Italian nonna whoād adopted us into her family.
When the bill came, I realised something extraordinary: I wasnāt just paying for food. I was paying for one of the finest human experiences Iāve had in years. And it was worth every single penny ā and then some.
Leo, if you ever open your own restaurant, Iāll be there on opening night, front row, with a fork in hand. Until then, Iāll be telling everyone I know: If you want to experience perfection, go to Ask Italian and ask for Leo.

I had an unforgettable experience at this Italian restaurant. It all started a month ago when, while shopping in the area with my 5-year-old son (who has some special needs), he urgently needed a restroom. Although we weren't dining there at the time, the staff kindly let us use their facilities. Their helpfulness left a lasting impression, and I promised myself we'd return (but I forgot where it was and failed to do so)
Fast forward to our last day in London, and by chance, we found this place again while searching for pasta nearby. I quickly realized it was the same restaurant, and Iām so glad we dined here! For the first time ever, my son finished his entire meal ā from the starter to his pasta and even the dessert. He loved it so much, he even scooped up the leftover sauce with his spoon! As for us, we couldnāt decide between the pizza and pasta because both were outstanding, so we ended up ordering another pizza to share.
The food was simply delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially with our child, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality and service we received. This restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem for our family, and our best meal while in town and we will definitely be back next time we...
