Although this is a Salvation Army citadel, with vibrant services at 1100 on Sundays, it is also one of London's best concert halls. Concerts are at 1300 on Fridays, and encompass a wide range of classical genre. Accoustics of this hall are excellent and they have a brilliant Steinway piano. Concerts vary from Military Band to students from London Conservatoire. I used to go to selected concerts which reflected my interest, but I now go to everything, as they get brilliant performers every week. (Search 'Regent Hall concerts ' to see what is on -- or just go along as you won't be disappointed.) In January they have both the Countess of Wessex String Orchestra CWSO (January 10 2025 and Band of the Grenadier Guards (January 31 2025). (CWSO are the Buckingham Palace Orchestra!)

Great coffee, seriously great cakes, yummy sandwiches and (here is the best bit) sensible prices !! Where else on Oxford St can you get a great coffee and a lovely snack for six quid ??
