Golden Ticket Cinemas Aberdeen 9 — Local services in Aberdeen Township

Seats slide, butterless popcorn, and speakers are broken.

I enjoy the silver screen as much as the next person, maybe even more. I am a fairly avid movie goer and I really wish I could review this cinema with higher star rating.

The theater was out of butter for todays viewings. This would have been more forgivable if they for-warned the customers that were purchasing popcorn, but instead every person getting popcorn went up to the empty butter stations and pushed the butter buttons to no avail. Then returning to the counter are told the butter is gone. Too bad so sad for us, I guess.

The theater seats are the reason the review gets 2 stars, but the fact that they slide around the theater and almost brought it back down. To accompany the sliding seats, the theater 9 had one working speaker. It barely spat out any music to accompany the film. Another theater (I believe it’s theater 7) has blown speakers that crack and pop as the film gets intense. The facility knows of the malfunctions, and still hasn’t done much to fix it.

The bathrooms are also in disrepair. The restroom had leaking toilets and a wet floor with an abundance of flies.

The employees were all nice and efficient with the amount of people they had in the theater. Always smiles and greetings.

Again, it has a lot of potential for a theater, I just hope it addresses some of the issues that are holding it back from...

They may have upgraded the seats, but it seems like the same broken speakers. Central speaker had dull almost impossible to hear audio for the actors, any loud sound hitting the center speaker caused it to pop/crackle; bass levels were too high, or may have seemed too high due to god awful central channel; at one point the entire right speaker set up failed and there was only audio from the left side (3-4 minutes)

they new ownership had a real chance at doing something right and dropped the ball. Terrible experience. I was told this was a new issue, but these are the EXACT same issue these theaters had under old ownership suggesting same speakers, not new speakers.

I'll be going to Watertown from now on; after 10+ years of bad experience at this theater, I don't think any change in ownership can lift the curse of...

I went to the movie on Tuesday afternoon , the staff was friendly and the popcorn was delicious!!! The overall cleanliness is another story!!!!! The pop machine is disgusting and I am sure there is probably mold in the nozzles if they are never cleaned !!!!! The counters are sticky and very dirty along with the condiment holders!!!!! The best was when I went to put butter on my popcorn, I could smell dirty garbage smell from the garbage enclosures!!!!!! The bathrooms are very dirty and disgusting!!!!!! This theatre really needs an update!!!!!!! It really makes me sad because I love going to the movies but I think I will stop going !!!!!! I really think the health department needs to be called!!!!!
