Ian's Game Paradise — Local services in Alaska

I love to support local businesses whenever I get the chance because they often times are able to find things or take the time to order things the most stores won't. This place is getting a two star review and I will explain after I give them a bunch of compliments.

First of all they have a good selection of products in the store that are reasonably priced for the most part. Second of all the owners are very friendly person and I was happy to talk shop. Lastly if they do not have something you're searching for they are more than happy to try to find it and often times will let you know shortly afterwards how much it costs or how long it will take for it to get here.

Now my two complaints, I looked at a Nintendo that was supposed to be modded to look like Zelda. It was green with a gold tri-force theme but was spray-painted very poorly and not traditionally "modified" it look like a 10-year-old kid went crazy with dad's Krylon spray paint cans. Second of all I wanted to order something they didn't have, I know how ordering things work. Typically when they order something online they quote me the price which includes the shipping but then they charge and ordering fee on top of that. Staff was rude twice in a row. Last month it was a female staff member working alone and she was making comments under her breath after she asked if i needed help and i politely said no thanks just looking the mo th before this i went in with my 2 neices and son 12,13 and 15, thw store was busy but the staff only seemed to watch us 4 like a hawk.... ive been spending my money at Ians since they were in the northway mall i think my son was like 6, i had never had a bad experiance until recently maybe they...

Ian is such a knowledgeable person about games and if he doesn't know thr answer he will get it for you. I have always had good experiences in his store. Im so glad to moved to 5th Ave so I can visit more often. I have taken pictures of some of thr games that I got there. They have both older and newer games (way older). He also has his arcade games in his shop that you can enjoy while you are there. Go, experience and have a good time. Feel free to trade in some stuff...
