Got a rental suit for my sisters wedding in another state. Went in and got measured no problem, etc etc. Suit arrives at the store a few days early so I go in for a try on and to pick up. They tell me I’m only trying on the pants, jacket, and shoes. No vest or shirt try on. Okay, I’d prefer the whole thing but if that’s their policy… Everything I was allowed to try on fit fine.
Fast forward to the wedding day, I’m with the rest of the groomsmen getting ready and I grab my shirt. Start buttoning up and can only get the top 3 buttons. I know I’m a bit larger of a guy but the shirt did not come anywhere close to fitting around my gut. This resulted in having to drive to the nearest location, which was only 15 minutes away, and get a new shirt. Luckily we called ahead and the employee there was able to look up my information including the measurements and sizes this store put in, to which she said the shirt size didn’t seem right.
When we got to the location she had already put aside two shirts for me to try on and choose from, then added the replacement one onto the rental I already had.
While one store worked a miracle to help save the situation, to which I’m extremely grateful, it shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place. I believe this store took wrong measurements or forgot to take certain ones, purposefully or not I can’t say, but eventually realized it. When I came in for a try on they must’ve purposefully told me not to try on the shirt to keep from having to fix their mistake. Ultimately it led to unneeded stress to my sisters wedding.
Lucky for them we managed to fix it without my sister ever finding out. She would’ve unleashed an unending torrent of less than kind words on whoever would’ve been foolish enough to pick up that call.
I also want to add that they told me the suit would arrive two days before the event but I got my email saying it had arrived about 4 days before. I went in to get it and told them the date of the wedding, to which they tried dismissing me by telling me again that it won’t arrive until two days before. When I mentioned I got the email is when they asked for a name and went in the back to find it, and indeed it...
Read moreWe rented tuxedos for our wedding from the Mensware in Alpharetta Georgia a couple weeks ago. We were told the guys had to get measured 6 months prior to the wedding date. The women measuring seemed to have no idea what she was doing. Months later we went in to get the guys remeasured to find out the measurements were way off. We were glad they got remeasured. Luckily, the grooms suit came in a few days early, the week of the wedding. The groom went in to try the tux on and nothing fit right at all. The pant legs were 3 to 4 inches to short. Kiera, the manager, blamed the groom for coming in with taller shoes even though he came in with the exact same shoes for the fitting. Then, the groom was swimming in this dress shirt. A guy who is over 6ft tall was given a shirt way to big. Kiera tells us, due to the size of the grooms neck, that this is the only size shirt that will fit. I then suggested trying the next size down and Kiera refused at first and said that the clothes don't always fit perfectly. I then said, what is the point of measuring if it's not going to fit right. She just said they only have generic sizes. Then, I once again said, we need to try the next size down because this tuxedo shirt is not going to work. She finally got her lazy self up off the chair and got my husband the next size down and magically it fit great. We had asked to speak to a manager and of course Kiera was the manager who couldn't care less about her job. Once the order was put in for the new shirt, Kiera assured us it would be in the next day but wasn't in, until 3 days later. On top of that, the best man and one of the groomsmen came into that same location and dealt with the same women. Both dress shirts were missing buttons upon arrival and Kiera tried blaming the guys, that it was there fault the buttons were missing even though they were no where to be found in the fitting room. I will say, one of the groomsmen used the Kennesaw Georgia location and didn't have any trouble at all. What business does a women have working in a store to measure men?? What a joke. Make sure you avoid Kiera...
Read moreI wish I was joking about this review, but when I first visited this location in August of 2024 to try purchasing a suit for my wedding in late January 2025, I was not greeted with great customer service. As soon as the associate heard that I may not buy the suit that day, I was left alone and I had no idea what to do with the suit in hand.
A couple of months go by, still suit less for my wedding, I tried this place again. The customer service was slightly better, but I at least got the suit and shirt that I needed.
Fast forward to my experience today. My fiancé and I had gone back to return my suit and shirt, which has still not been worn, and I was greeted by this younger gentleman and was asked if I was there for a return. In the middle of the return process, this older "gentleman" beside him starts inspecting my return and completely accuses me of wearing the white shirt and then asked me why I was returning a worn shirt.
After I had reiterated that I had not worn the shirt, he then inspects the shirt again and accused me of wearing it for my event, which is still at the end of this month. The younger gentleman kept trying to calm him down and telling me that the shirt can be returned because it still had all the tags and stickers attached and so can my suit jacket, but since the pants were altered, it could not be returned.
While I was being informed of this, the older associate still kept accusing me and is now telling the younger associate that they will have to damage the shirt and he shouldn't take the return.
At the end, the younger associate processed the return for my suit jacket and shirt, while the older associate glared at me and my fiancé as we walked out of the store.
I would not want to go back to this store and would not recommend it to any of my friends, family, and anyone in general. I don't often write reviews, but this experience has left such a poor taste in mouth that it moved me...
