Ms. Pearl tried to save the sale, twice. She was extremely professional and nice. But the young ladies working the floor need more training. I didn't know they work on commission. Fine and dandy, but be sure to service the customer to ensure your sale. There was a Hispanic lady in front of me with a return. She was bypassed a few times u til someone finally decided to service her. My turn.... The tall light skinned young lady did not speak when I said hello at the counter. She asked who serviced me. I didn't get a name so I said the black lady. There were multiple black ladies, but, again, I didn't get a name. After searching for her, the light skinned lady proceeded to tell me I had to wait for the person who brought me the shoe to ring me up. But the lady who brought me the shoe was with another customer. I told them I would pass, and just order it. That's when Ms. Pearl tried to save the day. She was darn good, as I turned back around willing to give it another shot. But, the lady hadn't quite made it to the counter yet, so I did an about face and headed out. Ms. Pearl apologized again and told me about the commission. I asked her if there were ID numbers they could write down so another rep could tender the sale. She said the number should've been written down, and apologized. If you agree to work commission, be good at it. I am not required to shop in store these days. I try to shop in store, though, because I've been in retail and understand the uncertainty of hours and a decent paycheck. But the lack of customer service drives me to just shop online. It's unfortunate because the less sales stores get, the less hours are available, less jobs...you...
Read moreWhen we first came in, my sister stopped in the purse section and two women were behind the counter talking and laughing. They looked up at us and back to each other. No hello no assistant just ignored the fact we were there. I proceeded to the shoes as I purchased some four days prior. I asked the representative if I could get the price adjustment due to buying the shoes before being told about the additional sale. She said no, I asked if I could return them she said no. That you only have three days. I asked for a manager the young man passing behind the lady helping me yelled to someone in the back “hey this lady wants a price adjustment.” Then he walked back up and said my manager said no we can’t do that. I asked for the number or someone above the manager he said “call corporate.” When I say the level of disrespect and attitude stems from management (who was too cowardly to come speak to me directly), the reps who were just ignorant and beyond annoying. I called customer service who advised me it is at the managers discretion and gave me the district managers number. I got the adjustment. But looking at how much I spend here I can confidently say I won’t spend money here again.. I would NEVER allow my reps or team to yell to me first off and if a customer is questioning policy I can show the proof and speak directly to them... it’s common courtesy. More over looking at situations from their point of view I would 100% want to save money if I were able to. Disappointing to say the least. Do better and your revenue would probably...
Read moreTotally unacceptable ordering process! I purchased a set of china in-store at Dillards at The Parks Mall. I should’ve made note of how unorganized those steps were and moved to an on-line company, but I’m old-school and believe in face-to-face business and supporting local companies. The reps promised that ordering on December 15th gave them ample time to deliver by December 23rd. Today is December 28th and after speaking with at least 5 customer service representatives I was told that my order was never processed and can’t be filled! They don’t have the sets ANYWHERE in ANY warehouse and they don’t know when the manufacturer will provide more! They only have the displayed sets in store, so I can either wait INDEFINITELY or cancel my order! Don’t bother with ANY company like Dillards that’s going out of business! They are operating with a “flea market mentality” in that you’re only guaranteed what you see at that time. The quality and quantity of products has gone down beyond belief! I give great credit when it’s due and true reviews when it’s due. I have been disappointed, frustrated, and left unsupported as a previous Dillards customer. The stores and warehouse are not on the same page when it comes to their inventory and there is a break in communication that hinders their system so that the customer suffers. I’ve lost time, they’ve mishandled my money AND made my loved ones miss the gift I had for them at Christmas. They’ve offered no apology in the form of compensation, discount, etc. Very...
