Red Claws Crab Shack — Restaurant in Arlington

Started off a bit rocky but I'll start with positive first. Food good ...i shared several things at my table. Had catfish. Cajun parm Fries. Shrimp. Hush puppies. The combo Crawfish and shrimp fried rice. Bowl of Gumbo. Garlic noodles kinda dry but good. .. ketchup tasted odd even after changing bottles. Taste like too much vinegar in it. Sweet tea tasted like they need to change the container its poured from. Ok negative now... Service was a bit rocky. Had to wait quite a while to be seated. We stood there at the podium a good 5minutes before the hostess finally came by and said give me a few minutes. So we still had to wait for her. Place wasn't busy in my opinion...as in there was no line at the door. We came in and were the only ones standing there thinking hmmm do we seet ourselves or what... but i guess they had the hostess cleaning tables. Maybe we just missed the lunch rush??? That could be why they needed her to clean tables. I'll give them that. Then our waitress brought out the wrong beer and brought unsweet tea instead of sweet. Also i don't know if this is normal but they brought EVERY item we ordered separately. We ordered everything up front with the drink order. First thing brought out was the parmesan fries. That was the appetizer so that was fine...but then few minutes later one of the catfish baskets came then 3-4minutes later the next fish then 5minutes another dish then another dish later. The garlic noodles took the longest. It came like almost10minutes after the previous dish. Thought the waitress had forgot it and was just gonna have her take it off the ticket. Maybe they do that to prevent stuff sitting getting cold while other items are still being made????I've just never experienced anything like it. Overall the food taste saved them. THAT FRIED...

I feel sad for the people that think that this is good Cajun seafood. Please go to San Antonio and try literally ANY Cajun seafood restaurant. I paid over $70 for RC3, a basic combo that would have costed me under $50 in San Antonio. It wasn't even 25% as good as what I am used to.

First off, what is with the corny security guard??? That is as insulting as going to a hair store and having the Chinese owners follow you around while you shop.

Second, the food is terrible. Literally the worst crab legs I have ever tried, and far too pricey even if they were good.The spiciness tastes like it came from something cheap, not authentic spices. The flavor is non-existent; all I taste is salt and that's only if I scape the bottom of the bag. The top of the sauce tastes watered down, and the bottom is only marginally better.

The shrimp is overcooked and impossible to peel, the crab legs taste like they were frozen for months (as in, very fishy and not fresh), the corn tastes like it was overcooked when they made it YESTERDAY, and the potatoes are overcooked.

Did I mention that the sauce was practically clear (I got the combo flavor) and extra watery with zero flavor other than a hint of salt??? Seriously, why are the owners even in this business??? It's enough to make me want to move back home. Again, my condolences for the horrible "cuisine" in this city....

The food was good but the service wasnt great. We had about 25 people in our party. We got sat a 2 different tables not all together. The inside is pretty small and the wait was over an hour. There is not much waiting area. Lines and people standing EVERYWHERE. They took orders by table. My 10 year old ordered and I had no idea what. She could have ordered a $50 lobster plate and I would have had no idea. This is NOT the place to go if you have a big party. They had absolutely no idea how to handle the checks. We waited about 30 mins after we were done to bring us half the checks. Then another 10 for the other half. I was frustrated and hot by the end of the night. Not a great experience. The 3 stars was for the food. Appetizers came out 15 mins after the entrees.... I know they are high volume BUT get people in there that can HANDLE high volume. These kids were lost. I will probably never go back and if I do itll be to pick up a to go order but that's a BIG if..... I had a good time because my family was there and that's about the only pleasant experience of the night. I'd give it a 2.5 star rating if I could. Pretty disappointed with how much hype was around this place. Im sure I would have had a better experience with a small party but the wait times were ridiculous. We saw many parties walk out without getting their table. All in...
