Ninja Ramen is my wife's and I favorite ramen spot in DFW. The atmosphere is always calm, relaxed, and laid back. Even when there's a crowd, you don't feel rushed, and the wait never feels too long. The staff are very polite and helpful. All that gets a thumbs up, however, you really want to come here for the food. All the appetizers are good, but my favs are the brussel sprouts; perfectly charred by the way, the Shrimp Tempura; always just the right amount of crispiness and definitely isn't the frozen version. The octopus is a must try, a little adventurous but still tasty. The karaage chicken is a staple for those not willing to be adventurous. The chicken is moist, never dry, and has a good balance of crunch to the texture. All the Ramen I've had have been good, however, my two favorites are the Spicy Ten Ten, and the spicy dry ten ten. You really can't go wrong. The bowls are always served hot and steamy, so you know it's been just prepared, and not sitting, waiting for you to come in. The extras don't cost an arm and a leg either. They have the standards choices, so you can customize your Ramen how you like. The noodles aren't made in house, that's a shame, but they taste better than store bought stuff. They do have Poke as well, however that will have to be another review.

I'd like to preface with, I never judge a place too harshly based off one meal, but my first meal was just an average one, hence the score. The three stars come from the appetizers and Japanese soda selection only so let's start with the positives. Loved I could get ramune sodas there, they were really good just a little over priced compared to other ramen restaurants i have been to, they also had a great selection of other beverages both local and foreign. The crochets were the best thing I had, cooked to perfection and just amazing. The other appetizers in the photo were all cooked well too. Which leads to how disappointing the main course was. The chashu was very overcooked as well as the noodles. It really made for an underwhelming end to our meal. The other I'd call neutral point was the service, it was mediocre. The appetizers came 2 minutes before the meal which is too quick and the follow up service after the meal was lacking. Servers took too long with the check when I saw them socializing behind the bar when we were long past ready to leave. I would come back once more to try it again because the appetizers showed they do know how to cook things well, hopefully this was an off meal. I'll update after my next visit.

Been here for the past 2 years and never got this bad experience. The girl with red hair and super long nails serve our table is really rude. She seem very upset and don’t want to talk to us. Very unwelcome. We ordered A15, she doesn’t bring out the plate until we ask her and she gave us an attitude response. She brings the plate out with her long nails on it(not sure the owner trained their staff properly about food handler or not) The grill squid and the takoyaki is extremely burnt, i can taste the smoky in my tongue and it is very bitten. So i called the girl and ask if they can remake it. Again, she is not happy at all. We wait for another 5 10minutes, a new dish came out with the same burnt squid. And the squid is cold and watery, look like they deep the old burnt squid with water to wash the burnt off i guessed. I have to peel the burnt skin off the squid and try to finish what i pay for but i couldn't cause it taste disgusting. This time even worse. Burnt, bitten, cold and watery. I hope the owner can read this and train their staff again if he still care for the business.

1/19/2025 Dinner time

We’ve been loyal customers, visiting this restaurant at least once a month, but unfortunately, this visit was a disappointment.

We arrived at around 7:30 PM as a party of four, including our toddler. We requested a booth, understanding that it might take a while. The hostess informed us the wait might be over an hour, which we were fine with. However, she didn’t take my phone number (as is usually the case) and told us to wait at the bench. I noticed she was writing down other customers’ numbers but skipped ours entirely.

When we were finally seated, it wasn’t at a booth as we had requested but at a table instead. We didn’t say anything since our toddler was already hungry, and we understood it was a busy night.

While waiting for our orders to be taken, I noticed a booth had opened up. My husband, carrying our toddler, politely asked the hostess if we could move to the booth. She refused, citing the waitlist. However, the bench was empty, and no one appeared to be waiting.

When our waiter came to take our order, I asked again about moving to the booth. He said he’d check with the hostess. Once again, she claimed there were others waiting for booths, but no one was visibly waiting (and she wasn’t taking down numbers for the waitlist, so who exactly was waiting?). Meanwhile, the booth had been sitting empty for over 10 minutes.

Frustrated, I requested to speak with the manager. During this exchange, the staff appeared unsure who the manager was, adding to the confusion. Eventually, one of the male waiters stepped forward and allowed us to move to the booth without hesitation.

Once we moved to the booth, the service didn’t improve. When our food was brought out, it was placed on the table with little care, and the staff didn’t acknowledge us.

To make matters worse, we saw another party request a booth shortly after being seated at a table, and the hostess accommodated them without question. This left us feeling discriminated against, and my heart breaks for my toddler, who wasn’t accommodated despite our reasonable request.

We’re typically not ones to complain, but even my mother, who rarely voices dissatisfaction, was disappointed with the service last night.

FEEDBACK: I understand it was a busy evening, but the lack of organization, communication, and consideration was unacceptable. The hostess’s handling of requests and her inconsistent behavior are areas that need immediate improvement.

Management, please:

Train staff to take preferences into account, especially for families with young children. Ensure consistency and fairness when accommodating guests. Address staff behavior during busy times to maintain professionalism and customer satisfaction.

I’d like to share more details and discuss this further. Could you please provide a contact number or email? I genuinely hope these issues are addressed to ensure no other family has an...

I was very excited to try this restaurant as I had never had authentic Ramen. We were greeted courteously and offered menus while we waited but I immediately noticed a foul smell in the air. The best way I can describe it is dirty bathroom mop water. It was so offensive that my friends husband and our children opted to wait outside until our table was ready. Had it not been for my friend wanting to try their Ramen and the fact that is was pretty late, I would have suggested we leave. We sit down and our orders are taken promptly but the waitress writes down TWO separate orders on ONE ticket. Two of us at the table clarify THREE times that there will be TWO separate tickets. One for 2 people and one for 3 people. She acknowledges she hears us all THREE times but continues to write on ONE ticket. I ordered the Takoyaki, Yaki Soba Chicken for my son and the Nagasaki Seafood Ramen for myself. While waiting for our food I mentioned to my friend that the restaurant didn't smell like food. I couldn't understand how a restaurant cooking such a variety of food didn't smell of food cooking. Only smell was the offensive stench that permeated the entire restaurant the whole time we were there. Finally our food arrives and the Takoyaki was delicious and beautifully presented. My son enjoyed the Yaki Soba even though it looked a bit haphazard on the plate. My Nagasaki looked beautiful and was full of visible seafood. The taste however was obsolete. The soup was VERY watered down. Absolutely bland. The shrimp and Mussels were cooked well but the squid (my favorite) was almost unchewable. Perhaps some salt would have helped but none was on the table. I ate what I could and filled up on the chicken pieces from my sons Yaki Soba. At the end of the meal a different server brought our ticket. ONE TICKET. He had to take it back and split it into TWO as we had requested THREE TIMES with our original waitress. Then those tickets were wrong. Instead of bothering to wait for a correction to the ticket, we just paid the tab and left. All in all not a very good first time Ramen experience for me. Staff was friendly. Place is cute if not for the smell and the prices were good. If only my...

If I could give this place no stars I would.. My husband and I ordered food to go last weekend. He got the seafood Ramen and I got the won ton ramen. My husband's Ramen was good he liked it. However this is where the issue came in... my won ton Ramen was extremely spicy and it does not specify that in the ingredient description on the menu. It was not palletable. We called the restaurant since we live a good 20 minutes away and it was pretty late on the evening around 8 pm. The one who answered the phone was a girl named Ivy she identified herself as the manager so my husband proceeded to tell her the issue to see how we can get this resolved. She had us send her a picture of the soup and the receipt. Ok fine.. once it was verified my husband very calmly said to her that he wanted to be compensated for the gas to get back down there... She proceeded to scream at him at the top of her lungs how am I supposed to give you gas money I can't do that not even addressing the fact that I could not eat my meal and when my husband brought it to her attention again she said repeatedly talking over him I'm sorry she's hungry what would like me to do its not my fault. She said to him repeatedly its not spicy ..This went on for 30 minutes with no resolution. He asked to speak to the owner she refused to put them on the phone saying you are going to wait weeks to talk to them because they are out of town and dont come in here often. She refused to give me another food option and infact told him come get your refund and don't ever come back here.... Keep in mind the restaurant was PACKED full not a seat to be had. Shame on you Ivy you lost a good customer for your owners. Please guys go somewhere else and put your money and enjoy good food without this obscene immature manager. When I got to the restaurant to get my refund she proceeded to show me a bowl with wontons in it. I didn't care at that point. She kept saying it's in the marinade of the won ton. Moral if all of this stay far far away . Ivy needs to find a new job she clearly abuses her management role and doesn't know how to talk to people I can't...
