I love finding a good deal or sale, I'm known to walk straight to clearance racks in stores. Plato's Closet has become one of my FAVORITE places to shop. I appreciate the upbeat & very friendly & helpful, knowledgeable staff! I greatly appreciate the countless hours they put in, "weeding" through thousands of clothing items just to carry the best quality fashion possible. ( I cannot imagine how much more time I'd be out@ garage sales& thrift stores, if searching for all of the items myself!!). We have a blended large family w/six children. We find the latest fashions for the guys & gals all under one roof & it has become a game to see who can find the best "score" of the day, all w/in our budget for eight people. I was a bit disappointed they only took a handful of our items to purchase the last time I brought items in, UNTIL I realized that they only accept items two-years-old or less, so they ONLY carry top, sought-after quality goods. Plus, thinking about how many people must sell items to them weekly & living in a community the size of Green Bay, I now understand WHY they are particular not to take just anything. I guess I appreciate that they are a bit pickier, so I don't have to constantly look through tons of items w/stains, holes& wear...it's already done for me! I cannot image their store being any fuller, that makes for great shopping for customers. So, 5 FULL STARTS 4 PLATO'S CLOSET, so glad they opened in Green Bay...now all they need is a location w/twice...

It was my first time trying to sell clothes at a Plato’s Closet, and it wasn’t a great experience. First off, it was not mentioned anywhere on the website that clothes could not be bagged and had to be in a hard container. So drove half an hour to the store and ended up having to go to Dollar Tree to buy a basket before coming back. I then waited 45 minutes, only to find that they would only take 5 items of the clothing in my big basket - for a little under $10. I do understand that you only get a percentage of the value of the item, but this still felt low to me for the quality and quantity of the clothing that they did accept. I was told that the rest of my clothes were outside of the 2 year style range, however, all of the clothing I had brought was purchased within the last year and included name brand items. I also noticed that while browsing the selection in the store that a lot of the items in there were very similar in style to what I had brought in - with many of the items definitely being even older in style than what I brought in. I ended up just donating my entire basket of clothes to St. Vincent de Paul. I only gave two stars because the girls in the store were very nice, and I understand they are just enforcing policy and the employees don’t make the rules. Still very frustrating though, and I am definitely curious on what this company define as “in-style” because I like to keep up with fashion trends and there was plenty in the store that was...

I went to Plato's closet 2 days prior to sell my clothing , the girl behind the counter gave me information how the business works and I asked her if they take walmart clothes and she said yes I go in today with 2 medium size container of good condition clothes . they went through the clothes and told me that they don't take any walmart brands of clothing it was a surprise to me that the other days I was told differently . so they took all my high brand names clothing which was 7 items which some of them still had tickets on them and gave me $21.00 one staff member told me I had stains on some of the clothes and she wasn't the one who went through them. . I made sure I check all the clothing for stains or holes and their wasn't any .The staff was rude one was even laughing at me when I inquired about a receipt and I wanted to see how much money they offered for each items they offered to buy , they said I couldn't get a receipt or the breakdown of the items that they brought . very disappointed in ur business how it is run and how the costumer being me was treated . I will not recommend ur business to family or friends . PLATO'S CLOSET DO BETTER WITH UR COSTUMERS !! And ur business u got one star from me. U got that so I can give my review if not u would have...
