United States Postal Service — Local services in Atchison

Our postal workers are friendly and helpful, the historical building is lovely. However, deliveries slow down to an absolute crawl when they arrive at our local post office. Some of our items were noted as arriving on specified dates that were much earlier than when they actually arrived to our address. Then when you call for help from the USPS in general you will most likely as it was our experience, be placed on hold for 75 minutes only to find out items can sit at your local post office for 7-9 business days before they get it out to your address. No wonder Amazon Prime is wiping the floor with everyone. Some of our items have sit at our local office, or Lenexa for days at a time before they arrive. This needs to be...

I've been calling this post office for over an hour and no one answers the phone. In previous times I've always had someone answer. I have been in the post office and heard the phone ring from way out in the lobby so you know they are just ignoring it! Calling the main customer service line won't do you any good if they can't confirm whether or not your package accidentally left with a carrier (when they been advise there is not a mailbox and no mail is to be delivered to the physical address or whether they accidental put the locker key in someone else po box! I don't like answering my phone at my business but ya know...

I'm not complaining about the actual postal office but about their mail carriers. There has been multiple times I have came home with my mailbox lid not being closed and I know its them not closing it all the way because I know how it can get stuck. It shouldn't matter if you have to take an extra 3 seconds to push a little harder and close the lid. My mail has blown out and I found it a little down the road. Hopefully I had found it all. I'm very disappointed that the carriers can't spend an extra couple seconds to close a lid, since delivering mail is their job. It's not delivered if it was blown away from...
