I booked this company via uhaul. After booking, the communication was abysmal. I held them accountable for their terrible communication. I was stern but I did not yell. They said they understood how I felt. After stating they understood and confirmed my appointment, they then passive-aggressively sent me a text message to cancel my appointment, which I found hilarious because they couldn't respond to any prior communication with that level of haste. I also want to add that I feel he assumed (rightfully) that I am a black woman and instantly threw out that he didn't want to work with someone who has an "attitude". I wonder if he would have done the same if he thought I was white. It smells of discrimination and I am calling it out as it stands. I don't know who Desire Nzinga is, but I am absolutely certain it was not the man I was on the phone with.

I want to add that the poor communication happened on more than one occasion where I had to essentially initially chase Dez for booking after paying 380 through uhaul. So yes, I did mention spending my hard earned money with the company to be ignored and treated as if my time and appointment were unimportant. And in his response he skips over the discrimination claim so I will take that as yes, he discriminated against me and used my race as a determinant for my "attitude". Dez and Brandon were absolutely amazing! My partner and I were moving from Raleigh and had a 20’ truck that needed to be unloaded when we reached ATL. We had previously arranged for All My Sons but as our arrival time began to get pushed back, AMS was not going to be able to meet us that day. I called ATL- United Local Movers while stopped at a gas station in SC to see if they were available and Dez got me scheduled for that evening almost immediately! He was extremely responsive throughout the entire process which was greatly appreciated given the stress of the day.

Dez and Brandon showed up shortly after we had arrived and they came ready to work! They both were super friendly and had great attitudes the entire time, despite having to carry our heavy couch and mattress up THREE flights of stairs AND maneuvering around the tight corners in the hallway. There was not one complaint and they made sure to place the furniture and boxes carefully in the rooms we had requested. They had unloaded the entire truck in about three hours and the cost still ended up being significantly cheaper than had we stayed with AMS.

My wife and I utilized Des and Brandon on our most recent move, and they were, in a word, fantastic. I did all of my pre-move coordination Des, and he was communicative, honest, and attentive. Finding a time slot was not a hassle in the slightest, and he was more than willing to accommodate last-minute changes as they came up.

On the day of the move itself, both Des and Brandon were timely, professional, and knowledgeable. They treated our belongings with respect, and were unperturbed by changes or obstacles that presented themselves throughout the day.

In addition to our moving duties, both Des and Brandon were happy to help us with non-moving related tasks. In addition to helping me transport and set up a new television, they also volunteered to help us get rid of clutter and assemble things. Working with these two really made us feel like we were being moved by friends - friends who also happened to be moving professionals.

Long story short, hire these two if you're planning a move sometime soon. Movers don't get much...
