It was Friday Night and the family consensus was that we wanted to do a Pizza Night. As Pizza was the decision, it had to be good. After doing some digging on Yelp we ended up at Mellow Mushroom. The location is super convenient as it’s in the heart of Midtown. There are a few street parking spots, however, there is a paid parking deck directly next to the restaurant. It’s a win win. Unlike the usual ‘pizza spot,’ upon walking in there’s a sign that says “Please Wait to be Seated!” It was at that moment, I knew this was going to be an experience. LoL. Taking in the environment, the ambiance is very chill and laid back. This is a great location for a low key night out with friends, family, or even a chill themed date night. Adding to the pleasant ambiance, the hostess was super nice and all smiles. He sat us immediately and made a great welcoming impression as it relates to the standards of service. Once seated, our waiter, Jesse came over and introduced himself. Along with welcoming us to Mellow Mushroom, he confirmed the number in our party and immediately took our drink orders. Again, a great representation of service. With such an assortment of menu items there is something for everyone and every craving. Naturally as it was family night out, we were all ready to order up the menu. LoL!! The Food: Pretzel Bites - Not your traditional pretzel bites. If you are looking for the hard outside and soft center, these are not them. These are homemade and have a full doughy profile. They put you in the mindset of a soft, chewy, pizza crust cut into bite size pieces. They are enjoyable if you are looking for a bread based app, however, if you have a taste for a traditional pretzel, this isn’t the fix you need. Greek Salad - Everything on the salad was FRESH. Though I ordered the ‘Lil’ size it was more than enough. The Feta was amazing. The thinki sliced onions and peppers were amazing. And the highlight of the salad beyond the FRESH ingredients is the house dressing. OhMyGosh!!!! I’m talking robust, well seasoned, not too thick, not too runny, a perfect made dressing for a perfect made FRESH salad. Mighty Meat Pizza (M) - This pizza was everythingggggggggg. This is a go big or go home kind of pizza. Extra meaty. Extra flavorful. And, Extra good. The pizza has a traditional flavor profile, however, it is elevated by the Mellow Mushroom Crust. Not your typical flour dough. The MM crust is a different breed. According to their website, the crust stands apart from the rest as it has a distinctive sweet flavor and soft texture that starts with a dough made from five simple ingredients and mixed with single-source Appalachian spring water. Now listen, I’ve never had a crust made with Appalachian spring water, but babeeeeeeeeeee. It is GOOD!!! LoL!!! Cheesy, Meaty, and perfectly baked. Not only was my pizza amazing, but every pizza that came to the table was awesome. If you’re in the area and looking for a Pizza or Salad fix, head over to Mellow Mushroom and get your order on!

Mellow Mushroom Downtown Atlanta Review Mellow Mushroom Downtown Atlanta is a popular pizza chain restaurant located in the heart of the city. It is known for its creative and delicious stone-baked pizzas, as well as its funky and eclectic atmosphere. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a high-rise building, and it has a large outdoor patio that is perfect for people-watching on a warm day. Inside, the dining room is decorated with bright colors and psychedelic artwork, giving it a fun and lively vibe. The menu at Mellow Mushroom features a wide variety of pizzas, including classic options like pepperoni and sausage, as well as more unique creations like the Holy Shiitake Pie (made with shiitake mushrooms, spinach, and mozzarella cheese) and the Mighty Meaty Pie (made with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, and ground beef). In addition to pizza, Mellow Mushroom also serves a variety of other appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. I highly recommend the Kosmic Karma Quesadillas, which are filled with melted cheese, grilled chicken, tomatoes, and onions. The service at Mellow Mushroom is always friendly and attentive, and the food is always fresh and delicious. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great option for a budget-friendly meal. I highly recommend Mellow Mushroom Downtown Atlanta to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable pizza meal in a fun and lively atmosphere. Here are some of the things that I love about Mellow Mushroom Downtown Atlanta: The pizza is delicious and creative. The atmosphere is funky and eclectic. The service is amazing. The prices are reasonable. If you're looking for a great place to get pizza in downtown Atlanta, I highly recommend Mellow Mushroom.

Visited Saturday, 9/10/16 late afternoon. Let me preface this with my hopes that this was just an off evening for this location. I have had many great experiences at other locations, mostly in N.C. But this was possibly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We were seated quickly as they were only moderately busy. It took 10 plus minutes for our server to get to the table after being seated with no silverware or napkins. Drink orders were taken. 10-12 minutes later our drinks arrived with one missing and again no silverware or napkins. We quickly ordered food and reminded the waiter of the missing drink. He came back with the drink a few minutes later. Our appetizer arrived and it was the bright spot of this experience but again with no napkins, silverware or plates. Warm & tasty as ordered though. I finally asked for napkins & silverware. Some entrees finally came after a very long wait. I asked for silverware & napkins again and watched the waiter proceed to dry off plates instead of rushing right back with my second request. The soup and salad that were ordered never came. The 2 of 3 entrees that did arrive were not warm at all. The grilled onions on one were even cold. The other was supposed to have grilled onions that were raw. We reminded the waiter about the soup and salad. We promptly told him not to worry about it when we realized that he had forgotten to put them on the order. We finally had to get up to go ask again for silverware & napkins and for the third entree. We finally got the silverware & napkins and the third entree came a couple of minutes later. It was supposedly fresh from the oven but it was only luke warm. This whole time we were being told that they were short staffed while we saw 3 & 4 employees just walking around doing nothing. The worst part though was a waiter who simply did not care. He even walked away toward the end while we were talking to him. The manager finally brought the bill (after we asked for it two times) and apologized but it was past the point of making...
