My brother and I faced a enormous task of having to emptying a 3,000 sq ft home that was full of antique collections that my parents had collected over 70 years in Gainesville, GA in order to put it on the market. The added challenge was that I live 12 hours away and our parents had 70 years’ worth of antique “treasures” to re-home. My best guess is that there were somewhere around 2 to 3 thousand items in the house. The first two Estate Sale companies I contracted said it was just “too much”. I was fortunate to find Atlanta Auctions. Vance came to the house, took survey of the items in the house and said he was up for the challenge. We were very impressed as they had both an online auction business as well as the home Estate Sale. To start off, we decided to have Vance and his team go through the house and take some of the higher quality items and put them in the online auction. We were impressed with Vance’s knowledge of what was “in” and what was “out” as far as current trends and what prices things could bring even with such a wide variety of items we were selling. The online sale went extremely well, everything in that sale sold and we were pleased with the prices that it pulled in. After the success of that sale, we turned the house over to Vance and his team to conduct the Estate Sale. There was a tremendous amount of work in organizing , setting up displays, advertising, and of course pricing thousands of items. Our main goal was to get the maximum value for our parents collections, but equally important was getting EVERYTHING out of the house, so it could be sold. The sale was a huge success. Hundreds of people came and items were priced to go. Vance also left some of the higher value items in the Estate Sale, to bring more activity, but also kept a minimum price he would accept for those items. Whatever didn’t sale he took back and put into another online auction after the Estate Sale. The staff he had running the sale we outstanding, polite and extremely helpful to the customers. We decluttered the house and Vance and his team took over from there. This was a huge project that hung over our heads for years. After the sale, we received some nice checks and can move on with our lives. Entrusting someone to go through your parents life collections is an emotional decision and we made the correct one by hiring Atlanta Actions. We are very thankful to Vance and his team for pulling this off. They were a pleasure to work with, very professional and we highly recommend using their...
Read moreI have to agree with all of the others, Vance and team were superb!! From start to finish every detail of my Estate sale was handled with care, even when I was "wobbly" or indecisive, Vance handled me with the same "kid gloves" he handles the items!! :) House was left extremely clean and organized. I also agree, Vance knows the pricing/ current values and trends/and customer service nuances and can spot when someone is acting rude or off and will not allow an item to go below value. Several of my friends and neighbors who attended the estate sale, reported to me that it was one of the BEST Estate sales they had ever been to!! From the care, display, pricing and curtesy of customers- even during times when the house was PACKED!! The staff remained upbeat, helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend Vance and team highly enough for ANY business done with them- Consider yourself lucky if he will...
Read moreAtlanta Auction Gallery did a great job handling our Estate Sale. Vance and his crew spend hours and hours preparing for the 3 day sale. Getting everything into groupings and priced. Since my parents were extreme collectors with a touch of hoarding in them it was a large task. Very professional with a plan of action to tackle all the items in this home. Vance has a knack for what items will sell and what items are not so popular. Also, Sarah was OUTSTANDING !! With all the pictures taken, help with pricing and displaying. She really seems to enjoy her work and her positive attitude is so refreshing. Thanks Team for all the help...
