I prepaid Steele Dermatology for cosmetic treatments and later canceled the unused portion in writing. Despite multiple written requests, Steele Dermatology has kept more than $2,100 of my money for services never performed and has withheld my medical records for over six months.
I first requested my full treatment records back in April 2025, and to this day (October 8, 2025) they have not provided them, nor have they sent the “form” they now claim is required. They have never offered a valid explanation for the delay.
After receiving my written refund demand, the practice administrator called me directly, even though I had clearly and repeatedly asked for all communication to occur in writing. When I calmly restated that request, she became defensive and hostile, said she would be sending me a certified letter from their attorney, and then abruptly hung up on me. As of this review, I have not received any letter, refund, or records.
I have filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights for the ongoing denial of my medical records, and I am preparing to report Steele Dermatology to the Georgia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division for retaining funds for unused services.
Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and access to their own medical information. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. I strongly encourage anyone considering prepaid packages here to proceed with caution and ensure all communication and agreements are...
Read moreSteele Dermatology is one of my happy places and it’s not just because the offices are stunning and spotless, but because every time I go either for a dermatology appointment or an aesthetician appointment I feel heard and valued! The customer service is also impeccable—from the phone calls to the in-person front desk staff to the PAs and aestheticians. I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and I can tell a difference in my skin, but also other people can tell a difference in my skin! I always get compliments on my skin and I rarely ever wear makeup—I really don’t have to anymore. It’s all thanks to Dr. Johnson and my aesthetician-Angie! Recently I’ve been visiting for more aesthetician appointments and from my first appointment with Angie she took the time to listen to my concerns and ask about the products I use and pretty much my overall skincare routine. This was already on file, but I was thankful she reconfirmed and actually took the time to listen to me to confirm nothing had changed! Based on our discussion she provided recommendations of treatments and/or products that I needed—not just to sell me something. This is another reason why I love this practice, Dr. Johnson and her staff only recommended what’s needed. They aren’t just trying to sell me something. Since working with Angie, I have a treatment plan and I look forward to my appointments because I know my skin is being taken care of. If you are looking to take your skincare to the next level I highly recommend Steele...
Read moreI am utterly appalled and disheartened by my experience at Steele Dermatology. What was supposed to be a routine morpheaus 8 facial turned into a complete nightmare, and I can't stress enough how disappointed I am with their service, attitude, and utter lack of accountability. After receiving the Morpheaus 8 treatment from this dermatologist, I experienced a severe adverse reaction that left my face swollen, itchy, and nearly unrecognizable. My eyes became so puffy that I struggled to see properly, ultimately requiring a hospital visit to manage the distressing symptoms. To make matters worse, I made several attempts to contact the dermatologist for assistance, but my calls were ignored, and my concerns went unaddressed. Their negligence did not stop there. Despite the painful and traumatic experience I endured, the dermatologist refused to take responsibility for their actions, refusing to offer any form of compensation or even check in on my well-being. I find this level of unprofessionalism and insensitivity to be inexcusable, and I strongly urge others to reconsider visiting. A dermatologist's job is to ensure their patients' comfort and safety, but unfortunately, my experience at this clinic was an abject failure on all fronts. Stay away and protect your health and well-being by seeking alternative, more...
