I have been going to Sports Clips for many years and have always enjoyed the service. This time was a total disappointment. This was my first time to this Sportsclips at Augusta, GA, store # GA503. I used the online app to make my appointment which said the wait time was "0". When I arrived at the store 5-10 min later, with my mask on. There were two stylists and two customers in the chairs, no one in the waiting room. My name was listed as next up. The lady, "Stephanie" asked me to register and then to wait in my car and they would text me. Though it was pouring rain, I went back to my car and waited. After ten minutes, I observed one of the customers leaving the store. I waited for my text, but none came, so I checked the app and it said I was up, so I went back into the store through the pouring rain. One customer was still getting his hair cut and no one else was in the store. Stephanie was in the back and came out and told me to go back to my car and they would page me. It was still pouring rain and I was clearly up next so I asked her if I could just wait by the door (I had my mask on.) she said no, that it was policy and to leave. I am a 57 y/o diabetic and did not want to go through the rain yet again, I said if I could just stand by the door till she was ready for me. She proceeded to sweep and vacuum the whole store, taking as much time as she could, like she was waiting for the other lady to finish, but she didn't and finally she had me sit at her chair. I told her I understood the policy, but in my situation it was silly to make me again go into the poring rain, when clearly I was up in any moment and the store was vacant. Stephanie had enough of me talking to her and ordered me out of the store. I objected, and she said she would call the police. After all the waiting and walking in the rain, and standing by the door, I did not get my hair cut. Stephanie is a horrible manger and has no compassion for an older customer. She was going to order me around and use "the policy" as an excuse. Really she should have offered me to sit in her chair for the few moments till she was ready, or at least agreed to me standing by the door for a few minutes. Stephanie does not reflect the customer service nature of your business, is load and mean, and should not be a manager or even an employee of...
Read moreMy review is on the store manager. I have been getting my haircut by the store manager of this location (previously the Alexander Parkway store manager) For over 10 years, I have always felt that myself in the store manager had a good business/client relationship up until today. For the last 10 years, I have driven over 45 minutes to Sports clips to have my haircut by the same person. When locations moved, I then started driving to the new location, which is Walton way. Today I Got on the app and saw that my hairdresser was working. I sent her a text message to see what time she would get off so I knew if I would make it before she got off work for the day. Store manager texted me back that she was off at 6 PM. I then got off work got onto the online check-in and reserved my spot to have my haircut. 2 to 3 minutes prior to my arrival I received a batter up text message. I arrived in the store and did not see the manager I assume she was in the back so I waited patiently. A few minutes later, she came up from the back, looked at me and said “you are going to have to wait 30 minutes I’m going on break”. So after telling me that they will be there until six I drove 45 minutes from Edgefield where I live and work to the Walton Way location only to be told I needed to wait an additional 30 minutes. As A retail store manager myself Ido understand that team members have to take breaks, However, customer service in my opinion should be top priority. The manager had enough time to let me know that they were going to be there until 6 PM. I feel like it would’ve been the professional thing to do to let me know that they did have a lunch break they needed to take before 6 PM. I would’ve had no problem coming at a different time. I feel this was extremely unprofessional and I will never go back to that location or have my haircut by that stylist again. Please feel free to review any camera footage that you have to...
Read moreI had a hard time finding someone for a long time after my last stylist moved away and when I met Jessica a few years ago, I knew I had found the one. She's fast and precise, which I appreciate because I am normally trying to fit a haircut in during the work week. When she told me she was moving to another salon a few months ago, I got a pit in my stomach. I didn't want anyone else to cut my hair. She let me know a few weeks later where she was working and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. At Sport Clips, they do offer additional services, and while she does bring them up, she does it in such away that I don't feel like I am being pressured, which again I appreciate very much. This location is a bit out of my way, but I go to Sport Clips for Jessica. I would encourage you to give her a try if you haven't had luck finding someone that is both personable, and shows care and attention to detail when...
