Capitol Visitors Parking Garage — Local services in Austin

I love that Google ask me to review a parking garage. What an experience. First of all, so convenient that there are arrows telling people where to drive their vehicles. They also these fancy yellow lines telling us where we are supposed to park our cars. Incredible! In all sincerity, it seems to be a relatively secure parking garage and is very close to the Capitol. If you stay there late enough, the guard booth oftentimes is open so you do not end up needing to pay if you leave late at night. I’ve parked there many times and I’m yet to be mugged or broken into. I recently visited the Texas Capitol and parked at the Capitol Visitors Parking Lot. I arrived around noon on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of parking available. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the Capitol and nearby businesses. I felt safe parking and walking to the capitol from here. The prices were more reasonable than other parking options in the area, and the first two hours free was a great bonus (though I’m not sure if that’s always offered). A "must place to go" if you visit Austin, TX. If you're lucky, you may be joining groups and listen to a guide. A lot of security from outside and inside. We found the monument to those soldiers that went overseas after 9/11 outside the archive building. A masterpiece so beautiful and at the same time, overwhelming. It's move you to pay respect to all the soldiers that fight over the years for this nation and lost their lives.
