Even though these are my favorite tortillas I must say, that the attitude of the employees also counts. I came all the way from Houston, so I decided to get my favorite tortillas. I asked about the tostadas & this lady’s(old 50’s ) attitude just made me not want to buy at all. She just kept answering like I was bothering her. As a former customer service employee I know that customers come first & customers are always right, even if their wrong. She shouldn’t be working there if she’s gonna have an attitude. I wanted to walk out & not buy but I don’t live in the city so I had no choice. She should learn to treat her customers kind & with a good attitude, one day she’s gonna run into the wrong person. My 14 yr. old daughter said; she should’ve just told us to leave!
Read moreMoved to Edinburg, Tx from Illinois couple of years ago and we just couldn't find a good tortillas brand in the valley, because we were used to just eat this brand of tortillas while we lived in Illinois that the white corn tortillas that they sell in the valley just wasn't the same, but since I do travel to Illinois to work every season I do bring a box or 2 from over there and we use some while we freeze the rest. But I come to find that they have this place in Austin, now I don't need to bring as many, as my family and friends can drive to this place and make the 5 hour drive to have fun and on their way back they can just stop to get a box and take it back to the valley, they have almost everything that you can find in the tortilleria in the Mexican village in Chicago. Great yellow corn tortillas, tortilla chips and tostadas, but it would be great if they start selling this brand in the valley or to build a tortilleria in the Edinburg, ...
Read moreWell, it had been a long time coming. The last time I was there at El Milagro, they were on 6th St. was back in 2002. I went there, and everything was closed off, but when I googled it, the address was on 7th St. So I drove around and there it was a small parking lot that was one way and still busy. Well, we bought tortilla chips & chicharones. I'm glad that they are still there and doing well considering all of the growth that has happened to East Austin. It has changed for sure. Always good service and the aroma of the chips and spices is...
