Yesterday late night I was so hungry but couldn't find any mediterranean restaurants open. Then I found Sarah's On The Road on Doordash. I think they do business until 4:00 AM. That's pretty nice. If I come to the food. The food was pretty good. I've ordered beef shawarma over rice and chicken shawarma over rice. Both of them was pretty good but I liked the beef one most. I think it is more Indian fusion arabian food. I am not sure about that. But I am pretty much sure it wasn't authentic arabian shawarma. The problem is the beef shawarma was too much over cooked. It was too hard. Also you can see on the pictures below the quality of chicken and beef was so less. Other than the flavor, taste and the rice was pretty good. Just the white sauce. I am sorry I didn't like it. It was too sweet for me. Wasn't like traditional arabian white sauce like Halal guys. On the other hand they've followed all the instructions I've mentioned like not to add salad and dip on the side. Another thing I've noticed is Doordash is not offering most of the items on what's on the menu. So this is my honest review from me. It could be more better for you. Thanks 😊 (They serve HALAL food as much I know, not 100% sure)

I love halal and gyros but this was not good at all. I ordered the combo over salad with a little rice. It was nice that the combo includes falafel, im not used to that. But the falafel was not good, the flavor of the chicken wasn’t good, the lamb/gyro meat flavor was good but it was cut so weird, it was just a few thin slices so it was difficult to take balanced bites with. It was very off putting to open the box and see like that. Also the fries were entirely unseasoned. On the pros, they’re open late. But overall issa no from me. Also, the patron in front of me was returning her wrap bc she’s vegetarian and ordered a falafel wrap but got one with meat. Not a good look on them.

The gyro platter I thought I was going to get fresh nice Cut gyro meat it was like Frozen steakums. They have a picture on here that shows a nice gyro meet on a stick that normally they would cut from that's not what this was I feel like lately and I understand restaurants are going through a lot but for $17 for you to cut back on the quality is not acceptable and came with a stale thin pita bread. And I've had many Greek salads and I've never had it where it had chopped pickles all in the salad and I like pickles but there were no beets which is a tradition and no peppercinis the stuffed grape leaves were good7

Amazing food. I am a regular customer at the Burnet location. But I just had a nightmare picking up at the truck on Cesar Chavez. First there were complications paying through the website. I signed in via Facebook, but never received the verification code. So I tried again with Google, which worked. So we’re already at five minutes just to pay, which should take 30 second. Because I had never been to the truck before, I clicked on “directions” on Google. This took me to what is apparently their old location on Barton Springs. At this time, I called in to see what was going on. They told me I couldn’t have gotten bad directions because they had fixed that issue. I told them obviously they hadn’t because I was standing in 100 degree heat at their old location, which I had never been to before, trying to pick up the food I had already paid for. So whoever I called gets online and verities the issue exists, which...duh. So then I drive to the location on Cesar Chavez,. I get there and my order was not exactly what I thought I had ordered, but perhaps I had made a mistake when I ordered. Finally got home with my cold food and there was no ketchup for my fries. That would be a petty complaint most times, but as I had just spent $20 on lunch,l and driven 20 minutes out of the way in standard Austin traffic, I feel like I should get what I ordered. Amazing place. Amazing food. But I would recommend calling in your order instead of ordering online. Lots of bugs...

Made an order here with my team of 1st responders after helping a patient out. Myself & the team all ordered different items but they all the orders came out VERY greasy & some of the items didn't even look like the pictures compared to what we got. The name of this place was actually hidden on Doordash & was labeled as Halal Bros which was really deceptive. Very disappointed. Especially since some of the reviews spoke highly of this place. But its a good thing to find places like this so we can tell our family & friends to not bother coming here. We had no bias & were super pumped (as well as starving lol) but to our extreme dissapoinent, the food was nothing like we thought. If they change their menu to reflect what the food actually looks like realistically & focuses on fresh ingredients we may change our minds but for now, we will avoid this place like the plague. It’s never fun posting reviews like this but when the food quality suffers, there’s no reason to come eat at a place where we spend our hard earned money especially when we are out with...
