Solana has been the only hair colorist that has NOT screwed up my hair. There’s a reason why this woman has her own salon now. That means she’s THAT good!

My Past Experiences at Other Salons: I have been to a salon in the past 4 times when it came to anything regarding lightening my hair. Previous colorists would either over bleach my hair to where my hair couldn’t handle it, would quickly turn orange and started getting really brittle. Two other times I spent $100 on even what was supposed to be level 1 of a Balyage but they didn’t give me barely any color and then I would become disappointed as to why I spent $100 and didn’t come out with anything that looked remotely this good to what Solana has done in just level 1 of this hair journey.

She was referred to me by one of my best friends who’s actually been going to her for the last four years and this is why I finally decided to trust a hair colorist again. And now our other best friend is possibly going to be making an appointment with her too.

What I also loved about my Salon 1936 experience was that I wasn’t in a noisy salon with a bunch of other people and noise. I have sat in salons for longer than I should’ve been and I have seen colorists get distracted by chitchatting with coworkers. Solana only had me there for about less than 3 hours for all the processing including shampoo and cut and style.

And her salon is the cutest little craftsman/Bungalo house on the east side... it couldn’t be more adorable and you couldn’t feel any more special being in her presence. A truly great hairstylist...

People always ask me where I get my hair done. My highlights and haircut are consistently executed to perfection. Salon 1936 is a small, cozy space on the east-side and Solana has taken every precaution to ensure my safety during COVID. I look forward to every appointment and feel extremely lucky to have found such an incredible space and a true artist...
