The Acadia Country Store — Local services in Bar Harbor

I was looking at the fudge case trying to see if they had a chocolate pecan fudge as a gift, when I heard a woman's voice behind me say, "Are you going to just look at the case, or are you going to buy something?" I had literally just gotten to the case when I heard this. It did not register with me at the moment that she was talking to me, but when we left, my husband asked, "Did you hear what that woman said?" Had I realized she was talking to me, I would have not made the purchase. I didn't realize there was a time limit on looking at the fudge case. Not a good experience.

This store had a little bit of everything in it! I honestly think you could only go in this gift shop and you would be just fine. As much fun as it is to peruse the main street in Bar Harbor, if you were in a rush and could only make one stop, this is the stop I would recommend! Perfect mixture of merch focused on marine life and outdoors/hiking life. The local-made jams and stuff were the cherry on top! We got the most beautiful children’s book here around sand and I can’t wait to read it again and have that...

Cute store, fun items, very nice shirt designs! The loss of one star is for up-charging many of the shirts for larger sizes (2XL and up) by about 2 dollars. This is a pretty awful business practice that most inclusive companies reject, and solve it by just charging one sustainable price for all of the sizes.
