My wife and I have been here numerous times in the past with mostly mixed reviews. Yesterday, 09/04 will likely be the last time we ever do business here. We stopped in for a new suit for me. Admittedly, it's been a few years since I'd bought a suit and with some substantial weight loss I needed a new suit for an upcoming event. Since the event was two weeks out I imagined as in past expierence here, two weeks would be plenty of time for tailoring etc. So we came in. As soon as we walked in the door there were maybe two customers in the store and what appeared to be three sales associates. Being customer #3 left me with no choice but the only available associate to help me. She greeted us and I said I needed a new suit. She immediately rolled her eyes at me and I actually asked what that look was for. I'd clearly came to the wrong place, but after making it painfully obvious she didn't want to help me, she asked if I had a price point. I briefly mentioned a labor day sale and wanted to stay around $200 if possible. Her response was "are you serious?" " It would be tough to get you into somethin under $700" In a tone and manner that was very offensive. So much so, my wife wanted to leave. After the associate basically told me I couldn't have a suit in the color I had wanted, she told me it would be just over two weeks to get it tailored. Considering my event was two weeks away that clearly wouldn't work. I did try on a suit, but the size she handed me was a 44R and I later ended up buying a 39R that fit perfectly (from another retailer) To add insult to offense, when I stepped back out of the dressing room this same associate was making comments about the dressing room next to mine that was left in disarray by another client. That was perhaps the final straw for me. I felt that she was going to sell me tailoring I wouldn't need if the suit coat was smaller and the pants she handed me were also too big. I'm a 30W now and I knew that entering the store, but she handed me a 33W. Was she going to tailor them down to a 30 and obviously charge me the second additional $25 fee? I went down to Jos. A Bank I bought a beautiful slim fit Suit, pants, suit coat, shoes AND shirt for less than $350. And I only needed the pants hemmed with a promised completion date of 4 days, well before my scheduled event. You didn't just blow this sale, you've made sure I will never need to come back. Epic fail.. simply epic. If I could give you zero stars, I...
Read moreWell I'd just like to start out by saying I'd have given 1 star if my last visit wasn't so much more enjoyable. Last time I spent almost $700 on my suit/shirt/tie and left w a smile on my face and looking forward to coming back. This time I just left there and was told by the lady working that they were shutting down early for the night when i arrived 15 min before close and informed her that I only needed a dress shirt and no measurements would be needed. I am attending my grandmothers funeral tomorrow morn and noticed today that my really nice dress shirt was yellowing a bit and didn't want to wear a cheap one for her wake seeing as i have the honor of bringing up the offering. As if I don't already have enough to deal w. It says online that you were open till 6. I specifically passed up Jos a bank and Macy's to go there just because like I said my last visit was very much enjoyable and I looked forward to going back. She wasn't rude just very dismissive and like I said I did show up 15 min before close and would have been out in 2 min. It says on your website you are open till 6 not 545. Not only that but i saw someobody walking out as i was walking up. I understand she wanted to leave and go home. I only wanted a white dress shirt. That was all. No ties, cuff links, belts, etc. just a white button down shirt so I looked presentable for my grandmas funeral. It would have been a little more understandable if i needed a whole suit and she had to take measurements and whatnot but that wasn't the case and I explained that to her. I ended up going toal jos a bank (they let me in 5 min before close w no hesitation) and more than likely won't be...
Read moreI DO NOT recommend going to the Men's Warehouse in Fairlawn. If you want unnecessary, added stress to your planning process than this would be the place to go. We were there multiple times for our wedding and they had terrible customer service. The first time my now husband went, he waited patiently for over an hour and a half. When he got help, the employee said you're too early come back in a month and when he asked if he could still try on suits the employee let him try 1 suit on very reluctantly. When we went back the 2nd time for fittings and figuring out what the groomsmen would wear, we were told to come back in August to pick up my husband's suit since they had to order his size from another store and the employee helping us wrote down his measurements and kept that piece of paper. When we went back in the beginning of August, they lost all the measurements and blamed it on a "miscommunication" and needed to refit my husband for everything again. When I worked retail and made mistakes, you would have to own up to it and not blame it on a "miscommunication." When we first arrived and explained the situation they were extremely rude and did not want to provide services to us because we weren't "notified" via email about his suit arriving. They also gave a groomsman the wrong size suit jacket which ended up being too big for him. If you are looking for a place to get your suit from I highly suggest you look somewhere else to keep your stress level to a minimum. During this whole process, they never even offered an apology and seemed to have an excuse for everything. Very disappointed in...
