Happily Ever Aften — Local services in Baytown

I was told about this cute shop by a cousin of mine, I went to visit that same day. For reference I’m a size 16/18 in jeans, XXL in shirts and a 40DDD in bras. Immediately when I walked through the door they greeted me and asked how they could be of help. Typically I say “I’m just looking” but that day I was in a huge rush and they could see I was trying to find an outfit for that same evening. These ladies did not judge me for being thick and a plus size but rather embraced my curves and made suggestions to best fit my body type. Not only did I find the most comfy jeans I have EVER worn but my outfit in its entirety including the shoes and matching crossbody! The time and attention Aften and her team granted me was priceless! I bought a pair of shorts & tried to exchange them for something else because I didn’t need them. After 20mins of me trying on different things & the two associates obviously scheming, they proceed to tell me the shorts smell like smoke (I don’t smoke, i don’t live with or even know anyone who smokes) & they aren’t allowed to exchange them. I smelled them & they didn’t smell at all. I’ve Never worn them except for when I tried them on in the store. Still had the tag on them & Was within return policy time line. I’m not one to ever complain or ever write reviews, but the whole situation took me by surprise because everyone was so nice when I came in to spend money. Happily Ever Aften is the best boutique I have ever been to and shop at. I remember the first time I stepped inside and immediately felt at home with Aften and her staff. At the time, I was going through a rough time, feeling down and self conscious with how I looked. Nothing in my closet fit me anymore. When trying on clothes at HEA I felt so comfortable and began to feel confident in what I was trying on. It was nice shopping somewhere where they had multiple sizes and an amazing inventory. Not many boutiques or stores have that! After leaving HEA I was so excited about what I got that I changed in the parking lot! I felt so good about myself, that I continue to shop with HEA!
