I went in for a covid swab via the drive thru testing. The guy who did the swab started off all wrong and acted like I was an inconvenience for him and he was saying they were super busy, then said he was joking and swabbed my nose. They said 15 minutes and they would have my results. 40 minutes later I call to see and they say they're inside so I go in to get then and it says negative. I had to get a doctor's note for work and they said I would have to get admitted for a note. I admitted, filled out paperwork, did the whole intake process. Took another covid test, flu test, and rapid covid while there, the doctor gives me 3 days off and says to retest in 24 hours to make sure since I have all the symptoms. Went through the drive through again and same guy sees me, rolls his eyes and says I need to schedule it during the day because they're "soooo" busy inside. I get swabbed, park up front and wait for a call... never received a call so I call and they say the results are ready. I go inside and the lady greets me kindly and as soon as I say I'd like my results she says I need to wait in my car and they will call when the results are in... just did and they're at the front desk apparently! She gets frustrated and starts looking for it and needs to take a copy of it for their records. Handed me my results and starts to walk away. I ask if they have ANY idea what I have since I was admitted last night. She says she doesn't know and it's probably just something viral and I should take over the counter meds. I just walk out because this place is ridiculous. I hope no one goes here and after seeing all the bad reviews I'll never come back here or go anywhere related the altus medical. Very unprofessional , front desk staff will give you medical advice and diagnosis when they are not certify to do so. I took my child here Upon arrival the registration clerk asked me for the reason of visit, I told her my daughter had severe pain of side of face, neck , ear , fever and headache. She gave me paperwork to fill out as I was sitting in lobby she asks me out loud if I have been giving her any meds, I told her yes that she saw her dr on Tuesday and they prescribed her antibiotics , immediately she said “well thats what we will be giving her there will be nothing else there is to give her”, I told her well thats why im here to see if she has another problem that antibiotics might not be working. She made upset face and walked to the back. Moment after that the worker in the back ( Cindy ) called us in. She asked whats the reason of our visit I explained to her everything again and she said well it sounds she has an infection and you already have her on antibiotics, I told her yes but its not working she said it takes 24-72 hrs to start working, I told her well I came in because my daughter is in severe pain and pain meds are not doing too much, maybe the dr can see her and she might have a more serious problem. She said no all she needs is what you are giving her already there is nothing to give her. That same day I took my daughter to the Hospital and immediately they started an IV with fluids/ steroids/ morphine and high dose of clindamycin , they stated it was very important that I had taken her, she was admitted to the hospital for 2 days after the procedure. I had an appointment for a covid test at 8:45. All appointments before 9 are supposed to be drive up. I got in line and called that I was there. They said ok be right out. The girl came outside swabbed the 2 cars in front of me then went inside. Then I got a phone call that I would have to come inside because they don’t test outside past 8. I told her my email said 9 and I just watched them do 2 other tests, she said I don’t know but we have everything ready inside. So I go inside they have no separate waiting area so I had to stand for 45 minutes because there were little kids everywhere and I didn’t want to expose them. I asked the lady how much longer because she said everything was ready. She then told me they got busy and she doesn’t know. Finally I get called and the girl swabs me right in the waiting room and another girl comes out and says you are supposed to take them back to triage to swab. She had two swabs side by side of me and another person in the same hand. There’s no way that can keep tests from being cross contaminated. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been. I understand an ER is busy but I don’t understand the lies. If a place will lie over silly things instead of just saying they are too busy then they most definitely will lie about big things.
