Walked in to pick up business cards ordered online. The old lady sitting down at the front check out and the younger guy just stared at me while they were in conversation with eachother, so I couldn’t interrupt to ask where to go as the print area was closed. About 30 seconds go by of me standing at the print desk and trying to get their attention away from hanging out with each other before the lady just yells “PRINT SHOPS CLOSED FOR THE DAY”. No asking what I’m looking for, no level of decent customer service, let alone decent personality. Mind you, there were no other customers around. Now online it told me I could pick up anytime before 7 so I knew I was good and had to press her further on the matter. Eventually the guy came and took me to some wildly unorganized shelf and said I could find my order myself. And man do I wish I took a photo of this crazy “pickup shelf” stuff piled on top of other stuff, stuff on the ground in a pile next to it. And I’m supposed to know where to look?
Once the tiny box was found, I double checked to see if “two boxes of business cards” online equaled one box in reality. He couldn’t tell me and there was no qty anywhere on the box. I just had to take them to the car and physically count them to be sure.
Overall, I see why office supply stores are being shut down left and right. In the future I’ll use online printing services as they’re definitely cheaper and don’t treat you like you’re a problem without any care at all. I hadn’t had that level of “I don’t want to do anything to help you” energy at a retail location in as long as I can remember. Especially for not asking them to do a single task at all. Definitely recommend not printing through this location at...
Read moreAbsolute worst location in the city for printing services. I typically go to the other store, located in the Springhurst shopping plaza, but I was in the area and needed something quick before I traveled in the morning. Could not get any assistance from anyone here. They said they closed their print/business center for the day because their "print person" already left. Absolutely no customers were in the building, even the manager wouldn't help. They all told me to just come back tomorrow. Not a good way to run a business, at that point you might as well lock the doors. Thankfully though, I had enough time to go to the Springhurst store, which I should have went to from the beginning, which was my mistake. I was assisted from the beginning by both Magic and Jake over there. Both were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and completed my request within 15 minutes. This store needs to take some notes from the Springhurst store. Pen and paper. Definitely won't waste my time here again to wait for the print person to be there and will take my business to Staples or the Springhurst store going forward. TLDR - If you need print work done with OfficeDepot, go to the Springhurst store to save...
Read moreI placed a print order online for 1200 black and white postcards. I was promised the order the same day by 7 PM. By 8:45 the cards were not ready (not even started). The next day, I came back at 4 PM and they were still not ready. I went back at 9 PM and they were still not ready. After spending hours on the phone with customer service, they were able to switch my order to the Springhurst store and guarantee pickup within 1 hour. The Springhurst store was able to do in 1 hour what the St. Mathews store was unable to do in 3 days. My order was time sensitive and I missed an important deadline. I requested the store manager call me, and he never did. I was only offered me a 5% discount for all my trouble, my multiple trips to their store, and their failure to deliver the order by their promised date and time. Do NOT use Office Depot for...
