To any bride out there who is planning on going out of state (say Chicago or New York), please, please do yourself a favor and read this review and save yourself from the nightmare I’ve had. My first ever bridal appointment was with Roma Sposa and I was excited and nervous. I had no idea what to expect, no thoughts of what dress I wanted and overall just uneducated on wedding lingo. The thing about Roma Sposa is that you will never receive false positive-- the associate I was paired with was a short Italian women who knew everything there was to know about bridal gowns. The dress I initially choose off the rack was expensive but something I thought would look nice, the associate was completely honest with me and gave real advice and recommendations rather then trying to make a sale. I felt like I could finally relax and I realize Roma Sposa generally cared about what looked good and what did not. The bridal shop could have pushed the most expensive gown on me but instead they paired me with a designer that loved and I honestly had a hard time taking the dress off, I was absolutely in love.

As someone who never had any ideas of what they wanted for a wedding or gown, Roma Sposa made me feel special and comfortable just like any bride should! Not only this, but I continued to return to the shop for accessories and advice, I am always greeted by the manager or owner herself. They are humble and kind and will make any bride feel so special not to mention this is one of the most classy, honest establishments I have ever experienced. If you plan on going to Chicago or New York for a “discounted” gown, keep in mind you are just another number in their books; I was treated terribly when I did travel to other states during my dress shopping experience ( I traveled because I was to shop around more and not choose the first dress I found-- MAJOR REGRET) Roma Sposa is an honest business and the owner and associates genuinely care about their clients. I feel bad writing this but my dress was the ONLY negative aspect of my wedding planning. I am from Toledo (2 hours from the store) and looked all around our area for a dress and didn't find anything I LOVED so I went to Roma Sposa. My first few visits there were AMAZING! I loved working with Luma and the rest of the staff was extremely friendly but after spending $10,000 between dress and jewelry I almost felt like they didn't care anymore after the sale was made. I had to go there several times for alterations and EVERY TIME I waited from 30 minutes to an hour. The seamstress was always rushed and I go to pick up my dress and was told I didn't need to try it on again and that the bustle was self explanatory. THANK GOD one of the workers there wanted me to try it on because the alternations were terrible and bustle was not done correctly. The receptionist was extremely rude and was acting like it was OUR fault we needed to schedule another fitting and that they were all busy and not able to get me in when it was THEIR issue with alterations. I literally wanted to cry but remained calm while in the store. I ended up leaving the dress again and having to come back a week before my wedding to try it on again it was still not perfect but at that point I was over it and decided it is what it is. They did end up crediting my alterations but I still wanted to share this feedback. I later called back in because I was interested in possibly shortening my dress to wear at our anniversary but NO ONE ever even called me back. So sad that this is the kind of service given on such a special occasion but they don't care because they know they are a one time shop for most people. If that associate wouldn't have had me try the dress on again I would have put it on on my wedding day and wouldn't have been able to bustle...

From start to finish, I had the most incredible experience ever at Roma Sposa. Looking for the perfect Mother of the Bride dress & working with Anna and her team to find it was an absolute dream. Luma & Lilly are two of the most amazing stylists in the business and I was fortunate enough to work with both of them. They made the search for the perfect dress so much fun. They were very professional & patient and energetic & incredible to work with. Elisa is absolutely amazing & outstanding…she made sure everything was perfect with my alterations and went out of her way to be flexible and accommodate my schedule. She made sure all the customizations I had wanted for my dress were executed flawlessly and there was not a single detail missed. Elisa is simply PHENOMENAL. What took the experience to “OVER THE TOP'' level for me was the fact that Anna, Grulia & Dina came to the house TWICE the day of the wedding to dress me. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I loved every second of my experience and every step along the way. I felt so beautiful and I was overwhelmed by the soooo many compliments I received. The most amazing, unique and exquisite dress shop in all of the land! You can search high and low around the globe and you will never find a better place.
