I have been going to this place for years , every week maybe once or twice, we would dine in with friends , it’s a good location but very loud inside to have a conversation, the bartenders are the best ever , the main manager is an ignorant, very rude and disrespectful, the way he talks to people is not normal, the hosts are very rude , one day me and my friend go to this bar and find the main manager fighting with some guys that happen to know one of them, I asked him what’s going on, the guy said the the manager wanted to hit him, that day we were told they are full of capacity , ok we left, in a few days we went again with my friend we were told to wait outside bc they were full , while we waiting they call me they say I am not allowed to go inside bc of a problem I caused last time , I said I have never caused a problem here in so many years , the bartenders know me, he said yes we spoke with everyone you can’t come in here anymore , I said why? He asked me are you juliano , I said no Man you making a mistake , i am not juliano , juliano is the guy you were fighting with that day, ok he said you know him you still can’t come in, the owner was there and I told her he is making a mistake I been coming here for years and I never had a problem with anyone , she said I am sorry today is. It your day you can come back an other day, and why? Just bc I come to the bar and I know someone who is fighting there with the manager , really? They first think I was that guy and then when they realized it was not me they say ok you can come back another day, like really, who do you think you are, there are lots of better places in town, we been going there for years bc the bartenders are amazing, the staff is horrible and very rude , they treat costumers very Ned with no respect and thinking the people who go there are very respectful and financially very wealthy , I am a business man , and I don’t understand how someone can leave their busines on the hands of an ignorant who talks with no respect to people who come to spend money there , I was shocked how I was treated at the door for no reason , ah I been there again between the day they were fighting and the day I was told not to go there anymore bc I was juliano , I swear I have never been treated more disrespectfully in my life from some stuff people at a bar, bc I am very friendly with everyone, if you see an other bar open please don’t go there again, if you don’t wanna...

Read moreThe food and the menu here are both awesome. I love the food here so much. And it is maybe a two minute drive from my house, so if you live in the QLE, this place (along with Sal’s, if you’re in the mood for Italian) is basically as convenient as it gets. In a vacuum, this restaurant would be my go to and I would probably eat here at least once or twice a week. That said, there are a few things about it that prevent me from spending more time here than I would otherwise.
Parking. It’s tough to find a close parking spot, notwithstanding the fact that it’s maybe half a mile from my house, I can’t find convenient parking here when I am trying to do takeout.
The scene. It’s just frequently filled with icky sceney and seedy people who probably don’t live here but wish they could. It’s just … not the best crowd of people to be honest. So many drunk people here with zero concept of personal space. Even when I do takeout, I always get an icky vibe from the people I see eating here and waiting for a table…. stereotypical “Birmingham people,” who want to be seen here but who don’t actually live here, looooove to eat here, and be loud and obnoxious and whatnot. It’s just a gross vibe looking at the people who eat here.
Like, they have a velvet rope by the door. Seriously?! Lol. What is this place. You’re in Michigan. Who do you think you are? You are not that special. You’re just not. This isn’t Eleven Madison Park. This isn’t Saison. This isn’t Noma. And that’s okay! But, come on. This is why I don’t come here more often. This is why people hate on Birmingham for being snobby. SMH.
If the food weren’t good, I would never eat here. The food and the eclectic menu are the only reasons why...
