I have been coming to Backyard for over 3 years and watching this community expand and thrive is incredible! The community Backyard has established and continues to grow is one of a kind in Boston. The trainers are so personable, kind and actually coach you through the exercises and focus on proper form and overall health and wellness. The owners are so welcoming, kind and hard working. Read moreMy first experience at Backyard Boston was great: Front desk staff were welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived and the whole time we were there. The space is GREAT, it is laid out well, there’s plenty of room for the number of class attendees, and the decor has the immediate vibe that “you are here to work out, have fun, and be a part of community”. Amenities were solid and facilities were very clean.
The class: I was a little intimidated about all the stations but the instructors were SO great at doing a demonstrations at the start of class, there are signs at each station with a reminder of exercises and reps to do, and the the instructors were attentive throughout (they were never far from your station and you just had to give a small gesture and they were there to help you, but also if they notice you could make an adjustment to make the workout more effective/avoid any potential injury they will come to you without you needing to ask).

Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Backyahd Boston. The trainers and staff are welcoming and so so knowledgeable, and the community truly feels like home. In every group fitness class I’ve taken here, the exercises are intentional and, despite taking class in a group setting, you’ll get the hands on individualized attention needed to get through the workout strong and safe. I love the variety offered between Strength, Strength & Conditioning, Strength & Mobility, and even yoga! They also provide muscle group focused classes, making it easy to schedule your weeks of strength and ensure to cover all muscle groups. Backyahd has helped me build strength alongside run training, and was an integral part of my training for both a half and full marathon in 2022. Modifications are always offered in classes so it is beginner friendly. I’ve never left feeling anything but amazing after class, and am so grateful for the backyahd that they’ve created for us.
