This hairdresser was extremely unprofessional and seemed more interested in overcharging than delivering what I asked for. I went to her for the first time to get a simple hair color—just to lighten my hair. As the appointment dragged on, I asked again to confirm that we were only doing a color. After five hours, she had done a full foil highlight without my permission and charged me \$450—far more than what was listed on her website for a basic color.

I get my hair done regularly, but my usual stylist in Wellesley was unavailable. I paid and told her I just wanted a lighter color. She claimed she’d fix it the next time I came in and promised a free “rooting.”

Three months later, I went back to get it corrected. I told her clearly I only wanted the rooting. Instead, she did something completely different again. After another four hours, I looked in the mirror and saw she had turned me fully blonde—again without asking—and charged me another \$450. I was shocked and frustrated.

To make matters worse, she was clearly overbooking. During my appointment, another client came in and had to wait three hours before giving up and leaving. That level of patience is rare, especially in men’s cuts, and it shows in the final result.

On top of that, she was flexible with my schedule and accommodated me on short notice, which I really appreciated. And the pricing? $55 for a men’s cut at this level of craftsmanship is more than fair. Honestly, when I walked out and saw the finished result, my first thought was: she should be charging more.

I had a wonderful experience at Enlighten Beauty studio. My hair stylist is Lynda! She is talented and highly knowledgeable about her profession. I saw Lynda to get some sort of straightening treatment. I was unsure which to go with, but Lynda knew right away what would be best and I trusted her completely. She gave me a Brazilian Blow-out and I returned in two days for the final blow out. I love my results and so happy that I found her!
