Green Room Boston and Jessica are, hands down, the best! I’ve been to stylists all over (New York, Chicago, Boston, etc.) and have yet to meet anyone that even compares to Jessica. She is truly a master of her craft and on top of that, a genuine person.

What makes Jessica unique and ultimately, the best, is her ability to actually listen to what her clients want. For the first few appointments, Jessica asked me to show her images of hair I liked and then she really pressed me to detail exactly what it was I liked about the images (darker roots, length, layering, highlights, overall color, etc.). After only a couple of these conversations, I realized that for years I was describing to hair stylist something that was entirely different than what I actually wanted. With Jessica, going through these images and having these discussions helped us to be on the same page about what I wanted my hair to look like both in the moment as well as in the future. Using this information, she created a customized plan and timeline for me; the result is that today my hair is longer and healthier than ever with a color that I absolutely adore.

Her skills as a stylist are further complemented by the exceptional level of service that she provides. Jessica is always on time and clear about pricing. She confirms appointments a week in advance and always offers flexibility if you need to reschedule; it’s not uncommon for her to come in early or stay late to accommodate a client. She develops long-term relationships with her clients and gets to know them on a personal level so that she can tailor both the service and overall experience to each individual.

I've been seeing Jessica since 2013 and haven't waivered since the first time I walked into her boutique one chair salon in Beacon Hill. I had been around the salon block before finding my way to Jessica, to say the least. I had my share of bad haircuts, mediocre cuts that I tried to convince myself were better than they were and of course the faithful "well this isn't what we discussed" haircuts. I struggled with cuts that made me squirm until they grew a little but by then it was time to go at it again. I'll never forget he first time I walked into the Green Room, Jessica's personality engulfed me and her dedication to my hair happiness was something I had yet experienced. We talked for at least 10 minutes about my hair: how my hair made me feel, how I wanted to feel and what I wanted my hair to say. I knew at that moment that this was where I needed to be. I have never left Jessica's chair feeling anything but confident, refreshed and happy. And every time I take a seat we have a similar conversation to the one we shared that first visit. Jessica is a brilliant hair artist ("stylist" isn't sufficient to describe what she does!). She has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 5 years now. Jessica loves doing hair and creating a hairstyle that says something unique about you. She is a magician with color and will develop a custom color for you. She has tons of technical know-how so she thinks outside the box to develop custom solutions. No cookie cutter haircuts here - she is imaginative and factors in what you want, what looks best, and what works for your lifestyle. Jessica listens carefully to what you want your hair to say about you and works with you to develop that idea. I trust her completely with my hair. I usually go in with a few comments about length, or color, or sometimes a change in style, and I trust that she will be able to filter my layperson thoughts into something great.
