MATSU — Local services in Boston

We just had a terrible experience shopping at this place. My husband and I walked into this store. The lady (who appeared to be the store owner) was extremely rude and passive aggressive. First, she ran over and aggressively grabbed my drink out of my hand as soon as we entered the store and put it away somewhere. It’s understandable that she didn’t want us to bring a drink in even though the drink was properly secured with a lid and had no chance of spilling, but the way she grabbed it was plain rude. Then she proceeded to repeatedly and passive aggressively ask us why someone would ever think it’s ok to carry a beverage into the store. We were uncomfortable at this point and wanted to leave but she kept talking to us so we waited. At some point soon, my husband jokingly tried to diffuse the weirdness of the situation by pointing to her that she’s carrying a beverage too (quite ironic and hilarious considering the situation). She appeared to be drinking some sort of alcoholic beverage herself and also appeared quite drunk. In response, she stupidly looked down at her hand and appeared to not know how to react before pointing us to the door and saying “the door is right there”. me my friend came in thinking it was quite a cute store and wanted to check it out. The sell lady was nice at first but after she found out that we were students she switched her attitude towards us right away, almost as if she was looking down on us. Also, while I was looking at one of the bag that was on displayed, I made a comment on how cute it is, but she counters with “it’s too expensive to be called cute” seems quite passive aggressive to me. Shop here if you want a really rude sales clerk. i walked in wearing a short skirt. I asked if they had any short skies or dresses. i was informed that they don’t wear short skirts in Boston, at least not for at least three years. Seriously? I headed down the street and found two lovely boutiques with plenty of short skirts in stock. When i told the sales people in those shops what this rude woman had said they told me they had other people coming in mentioning she was really rude....
