Hermann Furniture — Local services in Brenham

We purchased a Flex Steel "big man" chair for my husband. After just a couple of days, the cushion of the first chair that we got showed where it was bunching up in the front. We called and it was decided that we should get a bigger chair. We did. After sitting in that chair for a couple of months, my husbands hind end would fall asleep due to the cushion being broken down. We called back, they took the chair and "had a new cushion put in it" and brought it back. It seemed fine when they dropped the chair off but after just a couple of days, the same issue was happening. So, he hated to do it but, my husband called again. We are now being told that Mr. Hermann said "there is nothing more they can do for us". I find it hard to believe that "the oldest furniture store in Texas has such poor customer satisfaction. If there was nothing more that Flex Steel would do for Hermann Furniture, they shouldn't sell their inferior product! We would at least expect to be offered a store credit, now we are stuck with a chair that my husband doesn't want to sit in. We'll have to go purchase another chair for him but you can be sure that it will NOT be purchased at Hermann Furniture. I went to 12 different furniture stores in Houston and was disappointed with the quality of the furniture and their sales pressure tactics. On a whim we decided to drive 2 hours out to Hermann Furniture and we are SO GLAD that we did. First off the store is unique and really interesting to shop through. Second, their staff actually knows about furniture construction, their buyers buy really good quality stuff and their designer Claudia is ACTUALLY a real designer with an excellent eye for figuring out how to match colors and navigate different wood tones. She helped me pick out a lovely Kincaid Selwyn bedroom set and match it to the bed frame I already had. #3 their pricing was reasonable and they were actually significantly lower than Star furniture and willing to match prices that were online. Lastly, their delivery team was TOP NOTCH, they even took some time to show me how the features worked on my new nightstands and how to safely unhinge the drawers without damaging it! I am just so impressed with them. Now my bedroom is my favorite room...
