UPDATE MAY 2021: Returned here yesterday, my first proper outing after 18 months of lockdown. What an absolute joy and what a gem this place continues to be. I added a 5th star because this is just the coolest place to hang out. The beer garden out back is quiet and shady; the beers on tap (I am assured by others because I don't drink beer) are a good range and include local brews, and Cameron behind the bar is fun and laid-back and friendly (and vaxxed!!! Yay!!). Good snacks, good alternatives to beer (OMG the frozen drinks are so good! sweet but not too sweet; flavourful) but the absolute highlight is the food truck which starts serving at 6pm. Everything we had was DA BOMB - pimento grilled cheese sandwich; shrimp tacos; beef wraps; quesadilla; it was AMAZING. Go to Home Sweet Farm. Spend money on drinks and foods. YOU WILL BE HAPPY.
I first visited here a year or two ago and loved all the local produce and other local foods. Visited again more recently and was disappointed to discover a lot of that is gone - there was one rack of food and a small fridge section, but otherwise this is just a biergarten now. Read moreFantastic place for beer lovers, dog owners and people who want to chill, meet great people and just relax. First of all this place is so warm and inviting. The owner Is cool and so nice and his employees follow his lead. The place is roomy and charming and has outside patio, nice sized benches, bistro lights and an excellent selection of beers. I believe they also have live music although we didn’t get to stay and enjoy. My favorite thing about this place is they are so pet friendly! Doggie treats and water bowls for your four legged friends is a nice touch and your dog will be content and happy while you enjoy your beverage of choice. Will highly recommend to friends and...
Read moreThis place is a slice of heaven. The kind that surprises you & puts a big Texas smile on your face. We found it on a road trip (headed home to Austin), we stumbled in with a toddler and two small dogs. We were able to sit inside with the pups. The food truck was closed (maybe because it was Sunday) but they said we could bring in snacks, so we brought strawberries, watermelon, etc. from the car. Friendly staff and people! Historic building with local art on the walls. To set the scene, we were surrounded by friendly chatter from guests and "the road goes on forever" playing on the sound system.. By the time we left my Husband was talking about moving to Brenham. :D I...
