The Cosmetics Company Store — Local services in Carlsbad

The staff is not very attentive, but I actually prefer this because I want to just be left alone to try things at my own pace without harassment (the aggressively cheerful staff at Sephora make me crazy). They are cheerful when you are checking out, so perfectly pleasant people. They don't have that many makeup lines, but the ones they carry are high end, and some come at a 75% discount to what you pay for the same brands in the store. The only reason I am giving 4 as opposed to 5 is that 1. Unlike Sephora/Ulta they don't have every single brand and 2. They can't counsel you much, so if you don't know what shade of foundation you need, don't expect expert assistance. Poor customer service You need hire a better manager or a least one that understand the definition of customer services . While the cashier was processing my transaction, the manager came several times to check the prices of different items using my cashier scan and interrupting my transaction, I almost got charge for extra items that this manager mixed with my makeup products. This manager is a bad example for the employees, because she is teaching them that interrupting a customer transaction is ok, and this is totally unacceptable. All the customers have the right to start and end a checkout process without interference, it shouldn’t be hard so please train or replace this manager otherwise customers stay away...

I absolutely LOVE this store. I found out about it from YouTube beauty community videos. It’s a great place to find makeup, skincare and fragrances at awesome discounted prices. They don’t have the full lines you’d usually find at a regular retail store but if you’re familiar with these products you can really find some wonderful things. They have MAC, Tom Ford, Smashbox, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Becca, Estée Lauder, etc. All the employees here are super fun and helpful and they’re all very knowledgeable.
