I typically do these surveys almost every time I shop. Today was the first time where I had a bad experience. I unfortunately not only had one bad experience with an employee, but 2, in just one visit. My daughter and I were shopping this afternoon to spend our Kohl's cash. We were excited to come back and get some good deals! When we got there the isles were quite messy. The toy section looked like it wasn't tended to all day. Toys were everywhere and there wasn't enough shelf space for the toys, so they were piled on top of one another and every time we picked up a toy more fell over. I totally get that the toy section will be messy because kids love touching the toys, but this was way too messy. As we were walking by the beds my daughter wanted to lay on one. She wanted to lay on all of the beds, but we agreed on just one. After laying down, she started to jump. I reminded her that we don't jump on beds, she stopped. An employee walked up (or was in the area at the same time, I can't remember exactly). She looked at me, then walked over to my daughter who was facing the other way, and tapped her on the shoulder, quite aggressively, it actually startled me and I was like a deer in headlights. At first I thought she was going to hit my daughter! The way she walked over and raised her hand! (Which is not even CLOSE to my parenting style, hitting a child gets you nowhere.) She then said, "GET DOWN". I was flabbergasted. I asked "is she now allowed to sit on the beds?" She replied no because they aren't safe, that one of them has wheels. Yet, I was right there, making sure she was safe. I recommended there should be a sign then if they aren't allowed to be sat upon. The whole interaction left me feeling quite uncomfortable and rather irked. My daughter also felt uncomfortable and we both wanted to get out of the store as soon as possible. Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to leave without another frustrating interaction. The woman at checkout gave me uncomfortable stares from the get go, like she was looking down on me. She was super unfriendly. My daughter went over to the sliding doors and was sitting in the middle of them (I decided to pick my battles since we already had a rough time in the store with the previous employee. I wasn't going to make a scene with her. I let her sit there, because she thought she was helping by "holding" the door for others). She knew the doors were automatic and understands that they slide closed when the sensor is not being triggered. The cashier yelled to my daughter that she needs to get up. That she didn't want her to "get her fingers pinched". Which then caused a small scene with my daughter because she was already on edge from the previous interaction from the other employee. My daughter started crying. The cashier continued to act as though I am not a suitable parent. Her facial expressions made me uneasy. Both the employees made me feel like I was less than them. Both the interactions could have been dealt with in a more understanding manner. The employee who interacted with my daughter when she was on the bed could have gone about it much differently. Maybe just mentioning to me that she may not want to be up on the beds because they aren't safe, instead of the way she went about it. She was aggressive. The cashier may have been kind from the beginning. Being aware of her facial expressions and attitude. If I was approached in a kind manner, or a respectful manner, I would totally be ok with this whole experience. I am an understanding and flexible person. But my experience today really made me regret going to this Kohl's. I will be sure to tell my friends and family not...
Read moreWe went to every department store in the area. Needless to say, I leave no stone unturned. With that being said, I even am particularly picky with the customer sales representative that would deal with us. I even narrow it down to the person that is how much time and consideration I take into account before making a purchase. Cole is by far the absolute best customer sales representative in this entire area as I have personally taken the time to meet each and everyone of them. From start to finish, I was 100% satisfied with 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed. I refuse to work with or deal with anyone else. Cole is by far the best customer sales professional in the business. To me, investing time is worth it into making every purchase in life. Cole was easy going, friendly, accepting, and welcoming. The model of how every customer service professional should be. Without question, Cole went above and beyond expectations and answered every single question, comment, and concern that I had about my purchase. Cole had more patience with me than any other sales professional I have ever dealt with or worked with. Thank you Cole for a flawless sales transaction from start to finish. Patience is a virtue. And, you have more patience than anyone I have ever dealt with. If I were a business owner, I would have no problem handing you the keys. Because of you, I will be a Kohl's customer for life....

But I want to mention some other issues. My daughter & I shop at Kohls for clothing, which is about the only place to shop for clothes in our area! We two, along with other ladies with whom we have spoken, have been unhappy for a long time because Kohls has drastically reduced the amount of petite clothing, only to offer larger sizes more options. There are a lot of young, middle-aged, & older ladies who wear petite sizes, but quite often there are few choices or not enough variety of sizes within the petite range. Our arms/legs are shorter than other ladies. Therefore, we pay for clothing not made for our sizes & shapes, then we pay someone to make alterations, especially shortening sleeves & slacks. Alfred Dunner has lovely clothing, but their slacks are designed for ladies with larger "seats," so when we try wearing these slacks, there is too much fabric for shorter gals with smaller bottoms. When wearing these slacks, they are too baggy & sloppy on us. Dresses are ill-fitting as well because shorter ladies have shorter torsos! So we would really appreciate it greatly if Kohls would bring back more petites in sizes S, M, L, XL for tops & dresses, & short petite slacks, as well as medium petite slacks, & regular petite pants. The "rise" in slacks is also important for a better fit & look. So, PLEASE be more accommodating to us...
