Hyman's General Store — Local services in Charleston

I originally went into Hyman’s General Store to use the restroom. However, once inside and after speaking to the store manager, Evan. I hung around a bit. Evan was such a breathe of fresh air! He has an infectious personality and smile. The scents/scrubs I purchased were Cedar Wood, White Ginger and Amber, & Hugo Boss Night. A friend of mine got scrubs too, I just don’t remember the names. Evan is amazing at his job, he showed me scents/scrubs and he was spot on with the selections and what I liked. It was pretty magical lol! Mya checked me out at the register and she was absolutely lovely! I went to the store back in February so my review is a little late. But, go inside! Smell some scents! Use these products! The results of these scrubs are lasting, leaves you feeling smooth, the oil from the scrub leaves your skin hydrated, the salt isn’t harsh, and of course the smell! It’s greatness! Totally worth it! The fine folks at Hyman’s saved hannukah! I’d been searching for a menorah so I could introduce my friend’s children to my tradition. I searched this town high and low and couldn’t find a menorah — until I saw one in Hyman’s window display. I asked the man at the front desk if I could buy the menorah. He told me it wasn’t for sale, however when I explained my story he said “hold on one moment, let me make a call.” The next thing I knew, he was giving me both the menorah and the candles in it for free. Thank you Evan and AT of z Hyman’s for this hannukah miracle! Such a wonderful, human way of doing business. So glad people like this still exist.

The restaurant was wonderful! Good food and a fun time! The store however had wonderful items to choose from, but the worker was kind of rude and I felt rushed while smelling the scrubs. The worker also was rude to my mom and nitpicking my moms choice for us to pay together, while my mother is very sweet and was trying to be patient and nice.
