Phillip is the man! It was great to nerd out over numbers and try a little bit of everything to get the right gear. If you have never been fit for clubs, wow what a difference it makes (although I would only recommend it for decent golfers who are good ball strikers and have a consistent swing).

I was worried I might be fit into a brand they might “prefer”, or into whatever the most expensive option was but that was not the case. If you are doing a full fitting make sure you get a good nights sleep beforehand, you will be swinging well over 200 times over 4 hours hitting every club head and shaft combo available.

Be warned, it is not cheap, but I appreciate they give you the heads up before you book the appointment with an estimate. A full bag will run you $4,000+. But if your golf game is in a place where you are ready for this investment, I cannot recommend True Spec...

This was my first fitting so I wasn't certain of what to expect. I must say, Phillip was great to work with. He wasn't trying to push specific brands or introduce any bias. He really just worked with the data to narrow down the specs and delivered a great combination of iron heads, shafts, and grips that, I feel, will be a great fit for my game. The Intown Golf Club is truly a top-notch venue and is absolutely beautiful inside. Service from their staff was excellent as well.
