Never again will I set foot in this store. Word to the wise Dillard’s. Allowing your security guard cop to judge people off the way they are dressed or the fact they have tattoos is disgusting. I was followed around by a Chattanooga LEO in your Hamilton Mall location until I had had enough. 3 different departments, every time I turned around there she was. I finally had had ENOUGH and called the store management to file a complaint. I felt as if I was being singled out and followed for no good apparent reason. This cop heard me, approached me and began to verbally argue with me. Stated that people had been stealing coats and that’s why she was watching me. Mind you, I was at this time in the purses PURCHASING and item. When I brought to her attention we were not in the coats and we were on the purses. At that time she then told me that they had had someone purchase four Gucci purses on a stolen credit card. I informed her that I was (as she could see) using cash. She tried everything in the book to make what she was clearly in the wrong for doing, ok. And it’s not. I finally told her she had no idea who she was speaking to, she has no right to judge or profile anyone based on appearances, that he behavior was nothing short of disgusting and that she needed to step away from me. She then reiterated to me 4 times they closed at 8. It was 7:45 and I was in the process of checking out… Why continue to tell me what time you close? Do better better...
Read moreI had the most horrible experience while shopping at your Hamilton Place location. I usually go to Dillards for all my occasion clothing. Today, I was specifically looking for something to wear to my graduation commencement for my Masters Degree is Medicine. Pretty important occasion? I like to think so. I had been walking around the store for maybe about 30 minutes, then about an hour, since there is so much to look at, I had finally chosen something that I thought would fit the occasion, but I need a skirt of some sort. I walked around for another 15 minutes or so to find someone to help me. Finally! I found someone, she instantly acts perturbed and I had asked for a pencil skirt. She said, no! These are no longer in style and told me an irrelevant story about someone else asking for them. She didnt even offer to tell me where I could find other skirts or something similar, before she started walking away. She works in the Womens or Misses Dept. She maybe about 4 foot 9 and has short gray hair. She really needs to learn her customer service skills, since thats what she gets paid to do. I will never be shopping at Dillards again because of this horrific experience, she was extremely...
Read moreThe woman working in the kids shoe department last night was miserable. She walked past us multiple times and didn't ask if we needed help. When we finally did engage her, she had a bad attitude like we were inconveniencing her. We were trying to buy a pair of black Stride Rite shoes for our 2 year old in a size 6. We found 2 pair that we liked. She went in the back, came back out and rudely said there was only a 7 or 8 in one shoe and the other shoe in size 6 was the display. When I asked her for the display discount, she said, "Dillard's doesn't do that." I've definitely received discounts for display items at Dillard's before, including a time in this exact store in the perfume section and when I had them pull a shirt off the mannequin because it was the last one. Y'all missed out on a 50.00 sale because of your worker's poor customer service. It's my understanding that retail stores need to make money to stay open. We went to Kids Foot Locker, and the gentleman there was pleasant and appreciative of our business.
To the sales woman: If you hate your job, you should find a new one that makes you happy instead being a miserable worker to...
