If youâre considering living here, let me save you the time: run.
This place isnât just badly managedâitâs a full-blown case study in how to assemble the most useless, unresponsive, and unprofessional leasing office imaginable. Maintenance? Surprisingly solid. The rest of the staff? Absolute circus.
The junior leasing team mustâve been hired straight off a group project where nobody did the work. Emails? Ignored. Phone calls? Ghosted. In-person? They smile, nod, and accomplish nothing. Iâve seen toddlers with more follow-through. You could light your lease on fire in front of them and theyâd probably just ask if you wanted a tour.
Need answers? Good luck. Youâll get vague, copy-pasted nonsense that contradicts what they told you yesterday. Every interaction is a masterclass in deflection and delay. They donât just drop the ballâthey spike it into traffic and shrug.
And Magellan? Theyâre either asleep at the wheel or just enjoy watching tenants get gaslit by a crew that couldnât coordinate a sandwich order, let alone run a residential complex.
Itâs honestly insulting. The sheer incompetence of the leasing office makes it feel like a social experiment to test how long residents can survive without losing their minds. I wouldnât recommend this place to my worst enemyâunless I really, really wanted to see them suffer.
If prison is where Trump is sending people, at least theyâll get structure. Here? Youâre just paying premium rent to be ignored by people who think âescalateâ means adding you to a Post-it note theyâll lose by lunch.
Donât walk. Run. Jump a fence if you have to. Just...
Read moreUpdate: ever since my review and others who also experienced the same issues with Amber; the leasing office had 3 fake reviews all right after the office replied to my review. And mentioning Amber, FAKE SCAM ridiculous company to actually right fake reviews. SCAM. By far the worst experience iâve ever had in my entire life. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Leasing is the epitome of a building and the ones who work where you live. Amber is by far the most inappropriate and racist person I have ever encountered. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcomed with her. She wouldnât let you get a question in, when you say what square footage. pricing, or view youâre interested in she would not even answer your questions and instead respond rudely and aggressively. Weâre in 2025, how can you continue to be so racist? I would highly recommend the building to fire her and I never wish this on anyone, but she made me feel unsafe unwelcomed and was the most unprofessional leasing agent iâve encountered. Prior to my current Financial job, I worked as a Property Manager of a 202 unit building. Iâve never seen a leasing agent act this inappropriate and immature. She wouldnât let interrupt you and had the audacity to say âIâm picking up a vibe so I think we should cut the tour nowâ She spent more time making nasty comments about other buildings than she did actually discussing units and building amenities. So sad because the building was gorgeous but you donât want to feel uncomfortable and prejudice from the staff who works where you live. Amber should not be working in customer...
Read moreThe views are breathtaking and the layout of my unit is incredible. This was the only apartment I looked at where I could have floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, ample closet space, and room for a king bed. It truly ticked all my boxes. There are so many nice touches in the units and the closest shelving is phenomenal. The move-in process was seamless, and I was blown away by how organized everything was. The units are well-insulated â I rarely hear my neighbors. There are some sirens you hear since my unit is on Michigan but thatâs standard for any city Iâve ever lived in and my dog and I both barely notice them anymore.
Personally, I love the location â I can walk everywhere I need to go. Trader Joeâs and Whole Foods are both walking distance, blue line to the airport is a few blocks away, there are too many good restaurants to list in the area, and a number of pharmacies. Youâre also right by shopping, the riverwalk, parks and so many festivities. For this block in particular, I like that there are always people around outside (we are next to a number of hotels and the doormen are so kind!). It feels very safe.
The security and maintenance staff here are super friendly and helpful which makes it feel all the more home-y. The property manager, Jackie, is super kind and accommodating. If you have a dog -- it can be a little difficult to walk in the immediate area due to crowds and the dog run is not ideal (they are working on it, though!). Just something to...
