Michaels — Local services in Citrus Heights

The employees here should be ashamed of themselves for treating me the way they did today. I asked permission to use the bathroom here which I was granted to do so. Upon leaving the restroom I'm greeted by 2 security guards telling me I needed to leave the store. I was confused as to why being all I had done was enter the store and ask an employee if in could use the bathroom which they told me yes and unlocked the bathroom door for me. So since I was in there longer then 2-3 minutes that makes me a criminal? This gives them the right to publicly embarrass me and humiliate me in front of other customers as they were escorting me out of the store?! I'm a female who was in desperate need of a restroom when I entered this store. I was in their bathroom too long in their opinion from what I'm gathering from the way I was treated during my departure out of the restroom and out of the store. The reason I was in their a little longer then I guess is allowed because I had unexpectedly started my period and had bled through my pants!! So since I decided to go into a bathroom where I could not only wash and clean myself up but also change out of my period blood soaked pants and into some clean ones, this makes me someone that they are allowed to treat like some disgusting bag of trash that needs to be thrown out of the store?! This isn't right or ok by any means and I'll never ever spend a dime at this store. From here on out I'm taking my business and a lot of my money spent to hobby lobby or Joanne's craft store. Shame on you michelas for employeeing such rude and inconsiderate people. And just remember, what goes around comes around and when the day comes that you are treated the way you treated and made me feel today I can only hope you'll remember why it is you are supposed to treat people how you want to be treated. Shame on you all, including the 2 security guards that acted as if I was some weirdo freak for trying to explain to them what was going on with me, which ended with me in tears completely embarrassed cuz of something out of my hands. I didn't ask to be born a female who has a monthly menstrual cycle and k should every have to feel as if I did something wrong because i am going through what nature created me to go through not to mention ashamed of the fact that I chose to do not only myself a favor but for the public eyes which was clean myself up and change my clothes to spare myself any shame and humiliation that I ended up...

So I came in to the store later in the evening and needed to use the restroom urgently before making my purchase so I asked the lady at the register as soon as I had entered the store and she stated that the bathrooms were closed for the night unfortunately I couldn’t do any shopping until I used a restroom. Also I was so confused why the restrooms would be closed for the night if there was nothing wrong with them, and they were still open for business. I was urgently looking for a specific item all night running to all diffrent Michael stores and this specific one had exactly what I was looking for so I was excited so after being told from the lady at the register I couldn’t use the restroom I then went and fount another employee hoping she would understand and allow me to use the restroom unfortunately she stated to me the lady had already told me they was closed I told her I understood but need to go 911 she then asked the same lady over the walkie if she could open the restroom I’m guessing she told her yes the young lady had the most rudest attitude towards me with the worst facial expressions. I went to restroom then fount my husband in the isle he was waiting on the First Lady I asked to use the restroom to help him get the item we came for as she had told him she can’t leave the register to help him until someone came to relieve her so I then seen her talking about me to the Second Lady I asked about the restroom that had the bad attitude for me asking. So I said excuse me can you please get the item we are waiting to purchase she said ok and went to get it then said it will be at a register. We then go get in line waiting to pay and a third employee said anyone in line paying with a card can go to self check well we did and the third employee at the register said oh your not supposed to go to self check you have to pay with me, ok well why did you say anyone paying with a card go to self check?? So my husband had a question about the item we was purchasing and said excuse me to the third employee at the register she held her ear piece in her ear and walk away. So all three employees were very rude and because of that this was the worst experience we have ever had at a Michael’s the one on Arden has employees who care respectful and happy to help we will never return to this Michael’s again due to customer service and the most rude employees after spending $70...

WARNING:: DO NOT BRING YOUR ART OR COLLECTIBLES HERE FOR FRAMING. Michael's is willing to hire anyone without education in art or design for their Custom Framing department. Their training program is sub-par and lacks the appropriate understanding for what "archival quality" means. If you go to Michael's, you greatly risk having your art damaged and/or not receiving your project in a complete and immaculate condition. They are very quick to slap tape on the back of your art just to get the project done on time. The store manager seems to only be interested in the sales and metrics of the company, and greatly lacks the education and common sense with handling art and quite frankly, the heart to care about framing clients and their unique projects. You will be treated like a number, just as I was. I was recently employed there as a Custom Framing personal designer. If you are one of my previous clients and recognize me, I want you to know that I cared passionately not only for the physical work and the challenge of perfection for your projects, but that I cared passionately for you with your individual needs and stories. If you are looking for someone who is going to put the same attention and energy into your Framing projects, I highly suggest reaching out to local frame shops, where you know the focus is on the work and not the money, which is the unfortunate thing about Michael's Custom Framing. This place used to have so much potential to create amazing things, now it just seems like a void full of trashed dreams. Be wise and trust...
