The nicest people work there. The store used to be orderly and spotless, but now it looks like they're going out of business. Empty shelves, boxes of stuff everywhere, and seemingly no employees. A line with 8 people, and only 1 person at the register. This store has been here at least 40 years (I've shopped here since I was a kid). It's just not the same. It's the holiday season, you would think they would have more employees.
The positives - there's a manager named Jan (name tag says "Janager - Jan, Assistant Manager = Janager") she is so helpful and fun. Old school customer service from her, always. It's almost like you've entered her home when she greets you. She escorted me to my products, she's knowledgeable, and has almost a "mom-like" demeanor. She takes care of her customers and I've seen her check on her cashiers to make sure they're okay and see if they need anything.
The manager Jim is always moving. He is also fun and friendly, and answers all of my questions. I think the store owners are lucky to have Jan and Jim running the store, but owners need to pay closer attention to how the store looks and how inventory is managed because they really look like they have no product..3 months ago it wasn't like this....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited this location and was really disappointed by the overall experience. I shop here all the time and was always impressed by the welcoming atmosphere amongst the staff. I have never had to wait as long as I did in my last trip to be assisted within the store. There was only one employee at the register and no one else to be found. When asking for help, the employee told me her manager would be there shortly to assist. After 15 minutes of nothing, I gave up on going further with any furniture. What was once a pleasurable place to escape and shop for many years with friendly faces and warm greetings has turned into a revolving door of new faces that seem to only last a few months at best and with how few workers are on the floor at any given time in the day, I canāt see how the store is happy and efficiently running anymore. How sad to see the state of world market change in the last 4 months. I hope that this can be assessed as I would love to keep shopping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible communication from store management. I wanted to purchase an item and the assistant manager refused to sell it. He could not explain why or why itās on the sales floor but he was told by his own manager not to sell it to me. This was an item that was ON HOLD until 9/8/23 and today is 9/10/23 and per their posted signage, if not picked up and purchased by the customer, it needs to return to the sales floor in 48 hours. I asked why it was not labeled as sold if it was āsoldā and he said he could not tell me. I asked why itās not in the sold section of the store, why is it on the sales floor? He could not respond. I wasted so much time traveling back and forth twice to buy it only to be told it cannot be sold and canāt explain why. Manager refused to speak with me to explain the situation with the item and just told the gentleman in front to me to refuse the sale. This is very strange behavior. What store doesnāt want to sell their products? Is this how they sell...
