House of Maxx — Local services in City of Beacon

The second I walked into this store i was treated with a very offensive remark by the employee working front desk. There was no other staff in the store that im aware of until an older women i’m assuming to be her mother came in and immediately defended the girl after for making the comment towards me. Her response was that the girl was 12 years old and did not mean to offend me. From what I am aware of it is against child labor laws to have a minor without working papers working as a front desk assistant. Keep in mind that when I had come in there was no adult or other employee In the store. Therefore the store was being handled by a 12 year old girl without adult supervision. The comment this girl made would be considered discrimination and the situation would also be considered against child labor laws. What an amazing time shopping today. I have 2 daughters, both different sizes and shapes. Love how inclusive this clothing store was for both my girls. Cicely the owner was so helpful. She brought the girls all types of clothes to try on. The only negative was how far it is from home. But with the service we received, it would be worth the drive back. Could not get over the amount of clothing options...

Nasty, rude lady came out and screamed at me for picking a flower that was outside of her store. If she didn't want the flowers touched, she could've handled it a lot better. Even more so, don't put flowers outside of your business if you get that upset for people touching them. I've never done business here, and it looks like I won't be.
