Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Clarksville

I went there to pick up some things for the company I work at, clearly confused and it was very clear that I had never been in that place before, so I when I went inside to grab the things I was asked to get I instantly asked where the couple of things were at, costumer service told me the isle numbers to find those things, I went to those isles and realized I’m gonna have to use a cart so I asked for one because I didn’t know where everything was, not even a cart. it was so clear I’ve never been in that place in my life and one of the employees just did not seem like he wanted to help me not one smile on his face nothing, even checking out with this man he seemed like he wanted nothing to do with me, MIND YOU I didn’t even come into that store with any type of like bad attitude just pure confusion trying to get it over with so I could go back to work, so seriously don’t know what that guys problem was because all I needed was help and the attitude I got back was just not for me or not what I expected as costumer service, I’m sorry if you hate your job, that sucks. maybe he should just find a new one where he’d have a smile on his face at! I would have put 1 star but I’ll put 2 just because they actually did help me! But the whole experience of the help and expressions on their faces was not it nor nice to be around....

Nice store to get bulk food items from and it requires no membership! They do offer memberships for businesses where you can order online and pickup in store. Great place to pick up items for concession stands. Beware of buying the small bagged chips. They have sold those past their expiration dates! Just make sure to check the sell by date. Especially when they are on sale.

Staff members are nice, however there are 2 male managers that just aren't that friendly. One is always busy and gives you short clipped answers when asked questions and the other, a large man, is more friendly but lazy. I had my arms full and needed a cart, he was standing by an empty one and I thought he was going to offer it to me, but instead told me the carts are out front! Didn't even bother to assist!

I have bought food from them for a large homeless feed for over 3 years every month. This Monday I called to get my normal turkey slicing done and gave them 3 hours notice and they informed me that their new policy is to not do same day slicing. This slicing takes about 15 minutes to finish so 3 hours is plenty of time. I advised I was a frequent customer and this was for the homeless and asked for one extension as I did not know the new policy and they said sorry no exceptions. I advised I really needed this food for the meal we are serving tonight to the homeless and they again advised no exceptions. Basically what I heard was "we don't feel like serving you today so you need to go shop somewhere else". No problem I am taking my business today and in the...
