The owner of the shop (Shyam Katta) was extremely helpful with my situation. I brought my wife's wedding ring in (married 18 years) which is an Emerald cut with six cascading baguettes coming off of the center stone. We have been contemplating changing the looks of our yellow gold rings and perhaps having them re-set utilizing white gold or platinum. We are also looking to change my wife's ring a bit more by adding more diamonds to the new setting. I was not comfortable making changes to the ring without my wife being a part of the decision. I asked Shyam his opinion and he agreed that she should be involved in the re-design of her ring. He added that he could plate the ring with Rhodium and make several repairs to it that would give it a whole new look while not changing the structure of the ring itself. Since my wife's birthday was soon approaching, I agreed to have Shyam work his magic on the ring. He replaced one of the baguettes which had a small fracture, replaced all four prongs for the center stone (the stone was loose and my wife had not worn it for quite some time because of that), re-straightened the bottom of the ring which was out of round after many years of wear and finally, rhodium plated the ring to perfection. I could not believe the ring when I saw it which ,by the way, was the very next day as he does all of this work in-house. The ring looked brand new and even more perfect than when I put it on my wife's finger over 18 years ago. This is being posted the day after I presented it to my wife and she sent me a text with her holding her hand out showing off her ring. I knew she would be happy to have her ring back but I really did not expect her to cry happy tears several times last night after giving it to her. Thanks Shyam! My ring will be up next but I have to tell you that while talking to Shyam he asked if he could see my ring. It's a typical man's wedding band with three channel-set diamonds which is showing years of wear. The bottom of the band was broken and the ring was very dull and scratched. Without saying anything he took it back to his jewelry technician and came back to talk a bit more. After 10 minutes or so he came back with my ring. I figured he was going to clean it up a bit for me ,which he did, but his technician actually fixed the broken band (soldered, welded, whatever you do to mend broken rings) cleaned and polished the ring and once again, the ring looks brand new....in a matter of minutes. Shyam did not charge me for that work and said he would simply appreciate some referrals. When we decide to have our rings completely re-done in the near future, we will definitely be going back to Shyam. I needed to get my necklace fixed since the chain broke, and so I took it to International Diamond. Shyam and his wife (the owners) looked at the necklace and provided me with several options. I decided to get rid of the old chain and have them use a new chain link and clasp. Shyam said to come back in two days, and voilà! I was extremely pleased for a number of reasons: Shyam and his wife are incredibly benevolent and were very helpful in finding a solution for fixing my necklace. In addition to being helpful and knowledgeable, Shyam and his wife were also very honest. They told me the prices upfront and gave their honest suggestions for what to do with my necklace. Not once during the entire process did I feel like they were trying to take advantage. Price wise, it was very justified and more than fair. You won't find a better jeweler in St. Louis.

In conclusion, Shyam and his wife are the best. Lifesavers, if you will. I'm recommending them to all of my friends and definitely plan on coming back in the future. Give them a try. You won't be...
