What I thought was going to be a relaxing day out on a floating bar became a nightmare. We arrived 20 minutes early to the pier and met the Captain who thanked me for my service in the Army. He informed us that we would be boarding in approximately 10 minutes and told us where I could purchase a bottled water. We saw others starting to board so we walked onto the vessel and sat in the last seats at the bar thinking we would allow others easier seating. At this point there was a discussion that a search party was being sent out for a large group. The Captain then asked my wife if she minded moving to the bench seat in the back of the boat. (My wife did not wish to get into my medical disabilities in front of strangers and make me uncomfortable )and simply told the Captain no! The Captain asked “are you serious?” and my wife repeated “yes, I am serious I wish to sit here.” The Captain went into the speech we have a large group of 10 that wants to sit together. Wouldn’t you want your group to sit together? (The group was not even on the boat). The Captain told my wife “ I am telling you that you are going to move to the back seat. My wife said “no we are not we are leaving this boat! The other crew member started making crude remarks to the point the Captain had to hold him back. The Captain said that it is your choice to leave the boat. My wife stated she was going to leave a bad review. As we left the boat the young Captain yells out and calls my wife a Karen.
But wait it gets better we call the owner she says she will talk to all involved and call my wife back after crew is done working. No call!! My wife post her review! No refund of course. What pops up after my wife’s review? The owner calls my wife a Karen too!!! Oh I did make a call to the owner myself to help her fill in some of the blanks. She continued to defend her crew and blames my wife for posting a bad review after not following through with her phone call back my wife after the end of day. Of course no refund.
I can say Clearwater Tiki Bar Boat is memorable but not in...
Read moreTwo friends and I made reservations on January 7th. We brought snacks as suggested since they supply the drinks and alcohol. We took an Uber from Dunedin specifically for the tiki boat ride tour. When we checked in, we were told that there weren't enough people therefore it's canceled. There were two employees who were explaining that unless someone else is interested it's not departing. They weren't making any effort to find anyone they were just sitting back talking to other people and not looking to try to make this tour happen. They didn't even care that we took an Uber from Dunedin specifically for them. They asked us if we want to take the sunset tour but we were there at 12:30 why would we want to wait 5 hours for the next tour and we were going to have to pay the difference in price. I also asked them why they didn't call me and notify me. They said just in case someone else came we wouldn't have canceled you. But it was okay for me and my friends to spend money to get to Clearwater Beach for it to be canceled? That doesn't make sense to me. Since they canceled it we walked down the marina to find Cruzin Tikis Clearwater. They took us with only three people. But, they are BYOB so we had to run across the street to Walgreens to pick up what we wanted. It was an amazing tour with a great guide! I would definitely go on Cruzin Tikis Clearwater ride again! Please note that I received an email from this company to give them a review. Not too sure why they would ask me after bad customer service, but since they asked I'm...
