Clearwater Beach, especially the area around Pier 60, is an iconic Florida tourist destination. Its central and easily accessible location makes it a popular place for locals and tourists alike. The beach itself is stunning, with white sand and clear Gulf of Mexico water.
One of the main advantages of Clearwater Beach is its free accessibility. You can enjoy a whole day at the beach without having to pay for it. Additionally, Pier 60 is a fun attraction, with street performers, musicians and street vendors creating a lively and colorful atmosphere.
However, it's important to mention that due to its popularity, the beach can get quite crowded during peak hours. Finding a place to lay out your towel or set up an umbrella can be a challenge. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot.
Regarding parking, there are options available, but they can be limited and expensive. There are public parking lots near the beach, but rates can be high, especially during high season. It is advisable to consider using public transport or car sharing apps to avoid problems.
The quality of Clearwater Beach is exceptional. The sand is fine and soft, perfect for walking or relaxing in the sun. The crystalline waters are inviting for swimming and water sports. In addition, the beach is kept clean and well maintained, with restrooms and showers available for visitors.
Overall, Clearwater Beach, especially the Pier 60 area, is worth a visit. Its stunning location, free access, lively atmosphere and impeccable quality make it a must-see Florida destination. I recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy a sunny day at the beach, surrounded by a vibrant and...
Read moreNot recommended for smaller children or with more than one child. instead of having an attendant at each slide, you are asked to bring your ticket back up to the counter and drop it in a bucket. Easy enough but when smaller kids get excited, they tend to run from one thing to the next. During our visit, 1 of our 3 decided the slide was too high so she came down and wanted to move to the next thing - the other two kids went down the slide and moved to the next with her. I took the tickets for all 3 kids to the bucket as they were completing the obstacle course, but the guy working the counter yelled at us, accusing my best friend of not paying her tickets and claiming he counted, however, he did not ask nor have time to count anything. If he had counted, there wouldn't have been an issue but he was extremely rude and impatient. We bought for a total of 12 tickets for 3 kids, but ended up giving back 7...
Read moreWould have been fun if it wasn't for the rude lady attendant running the big blue slide. She rudely reprimanded my daughter for putting her ticket in the bucket "too early"... she was very impatient in the way she provided instructions and answered questions to both adults and kids. My daughter ended up telling me she wanted to leave before having used all the tickets we had bought, cause she didn't like the way that employee was talking to her. I gave the remaining unused ticket back to the gentleman at the register and told him why I was giving it back. Would have been appreciated if a little more care and attention would have been given to providing a positive and fun experience. Seems like other guests had similar experiences with that employee when reading other reviews. Very...
