Review: Total Scam – Do Not Book
I booked a two-night stay at this hotel, only to arrive and realize it was completely abandoned and not taking customers. There were no staff, no activity, and the property looked shut down. When I tried calling the listed contact number, it was non-functional. Beneath it, there was a secondary phone number, which I also called—but no one ever responded.
With no other options, I started asking around and, by sheer luck, stumbled upon the owner at the adjacent property. He acknowledged receiving my calls but had deliberately chosen not to return them. Instead, he had my printed reservation in hand, clearly expecting a revenue-generating customer, despite the hotel being entirely non-operational.
He then directed me to stay at the adjacent property, which I did not book and which was visibly under renovation, with contractors working on-site. When he gestured toward the so-called lobby, it was clear the place was shut down—the POS system was disconnected, and yet he still had the audacity to suggest I pay $400 in cash for two nights in a hotel that wasn’t even functional.
This is outright fraud. The owner knowingly takes reservations for a closed hotel and tries to push guests into an unfinished, unlivable space for cash. Even when renovations are done, do not trust this place. Avoid...
Read moreWe stayed for 8 nights. 4 of us. We got in from our flight and to our rooms. 2 days in the AC broke and wasnt cooling our rooms well at all. Prior to this we ran out of toilet paper and only were given 2 towels we had to hunt down the manager for towels every time we needed some. As well as toilet paper. He was soooo rude when we informed him about the AC needing fixed somehow. He said he called the ac repair man but there was no answer (we dont believe he called anyone because he could have called someone else were that the case and he never go back to us aboit it). The day after we arrived a dead bord was beside the pool and they never picked it up. The pool wasnt cleaned the entire time we were there even tho there was clearly bugs and bird poop along with other things in it. The man refused to give us 2 rooms after the AC broke (we had a 2 bedroom and he didnt have any other available 2 rooms). Overall this has been the worst experience with a motel or hotel I've ever experienced. The management changed since the last time and it has severely affected the places quality. We will never return. Him and his wife were RUDE and had no desire to actually help they were bothered by us even wanting helped. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They also own the sunrise motel next door son im sure that's...
Read moreAfordable, Clean, and Safe If you are looking for an afordable place to stay right on Clearwater Beach, that's also clean and safe, then this is one of a few different places there, where you can do that. Just as long as you don't mind a hotel room that looks like something from the 1950's through 1980's. So if you have to have an updated hotel room that's 90's or 21st century, then this probably isn't for you. But again it is clean and safe, which is what's important. They also have a nice pool as well. The only drawbacks are, they do have housekeepers, but you have to ask for it, it is not automatic like at the chain hotels (Holiday Inn, Motel 6, Ramada, etc) nor do they have a continental breakfast and/or coffee. But the rooms do come with a kitchen and all the utincils as well as a poolside gas grill. So you can cook and eat in, if you choose. The owners are really nice and will help you with whatever you need. They will even work something out with you, if you have a later flight and don't want to check out during normal check out hours. This hotel may not be a perfect 10, but overall, not bad at all. We would definitely...
