I got 4 cookies. The first was a Swiss Cake Roll cookie: very rich, almost too chocolate-y. I couldn't eat the entire thing as I had intended- way too much sugar for me. It took me 3 days to consume it. It was delicious but I recommend sharing it with others. The second was a Boston Cream Pie cookie: Do not recommend. It is served chilled, which means that when it sits out for 10-15 minutes, it begins to sweat. The pie crust type cookie was soggy and the flavor was not great. It almost had an earthy, cardboard kind of taste to it. The ganache and Boston cream were delicious, however. They would taste great on a different type of cookie. The last two cookies I got were on a whim. I got two Frosted Confetti Cake cookies: The cookie looked pretty, and I LOVE Confetti Cake so I thought there was no way it wouldn't be delicious. I was wrong. The tablet that you order from in store did not list what was on the cookie- there was only a name. To my horror, I discovered it wasn't regular frosting or even buttercream, like all confetti cakes have always had. It was 🤢 CREAM CHEESE frosting. A sin, in my book. I felt so much disgust and betrayal when I touched the frosting to taste it on the ride home. When that sour-milk taste hit my tongue, I literally gagged. Unless you're a sadist, or hate yourself, I advise against this particular Confetti Cake cookie. Cream cheese has no business being on any or in any dessert. The cookie itself is phenomenal (yeah I scraped off the icing and tainted bits). It was overloaded with crunchy sprinkes which added a texture that I never knew I wanted in a cookie before. I found out from the Crumbl app's previous cookie flavor list that they have an unfrosted version of this cookie. I also learned that they use red heart-shaped sprinkles for Valentine's Day. I am excited to try those but I will not be getting that frosted one ever again. As far as "atmosphere" goes, it's a pink and white bakery with little to no decor. It's very basic and plain. There's full view of the ovens and cookies on trays, which was neat. It's really no different of a layout than going to Hungry Howie's or Papa John's to pick up a pizza you ordered. It's not a dine in kind of place. It is far cleaner and well maintained than a pizza delivery/pickup place though. The app is great to have if you want to check out the weekly menu, and find out which location has a mystery cookie flavor you've been...
Read moreLove their cookies but I'm not sure if I'll be going back to this location after this experience. So I know they open at 8am, yet I showed up at around 8:10 and the door was still locked (which is no big deal, I've worked opening shift before at a restaurant). What bothered me is how long it took to get my cookies and the lack of acknowledgement about it. It took 15 min to get them, which is the longest it's taken even when I've been there when it's packed. The lack of sense of urgency was concerning and it seemed like they had walked in right before me since they didn't even have the display cookies up. A simple sorry this took so long when you're the only person here...
