My initial review was deleted for some reason, but I want to make others aware of my experience with Olive & Pearl, and am reposting. I purchased a large order (10+) candles last Thanksgiving because I had enjoyed the same Olive & Pearl candles in the past. This time, the scent was much, much stronger and despite ordering a variety, they all smelled exactly the same - kind of a maple syrup scent. It was so strong that I was embarrassed to give any as gifts. Even having the box in my kitchen was triggering headaches. It's worth noting that I placed my order the Friday after Thanksgiving, but the store didn't ship them until Dec 14, two and a half weeks later!! That is far too long for a business to ship something. My shipment arrived late on Dec 24, which was far too late for me to give them as gifts even if I had wanted to. With how badly small businesses were suffering due to COVID lockdowns, I felt bad sending them back, so I left the candles in a closet, hoping the scent would settle down. I contacted the store owner in February, with a copy of my receipt, to see if anything could be done to help mellow out the scent, and was basically told "tough luck." I hadn't asked for a refund, but her attitude toward me was pretty hostile. I'm out hundreds of dollars on these candles! I don't know what happened, as the shop owner told me nothing about the scent had changed, but these are definitely different.
