I literally NEVER write reviews, but I really don’t want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. I had to switch pharmacies starting 2019 because my insurance no longer included Walgreens. (Which btw has been a great pharmacy.) So I set up my prescription to be transferred from Walgreens to H-E-B. Usually this takes like two days, it took a WEEK. Then from the time it transferred til the time they filled it took another week. Now I’be been out of my meds for four days and it’s making me physically sick. I finally got a notification this morning that it was ready for pickup so I swung by tonight to give them my insurance card and pay for the meds.
The guy at the window takes my card and goes to enter the stuff. He keeps asking my name and date of birth and then he finally comes back and tells me to circle around and get back in line because he has to “mess with it some more.” I ask him what that even means and he says that “it’s not intereacting right.” Again, I tell him I don’t know what that means but I just pull around and wait in line again. Back at the window, he tells me that my card was printed in 2012 and I should’ve gotten a new one in the mail. I happen to be on the phone with my mom at the same time and she tells me nothing has changed since getting her new card. So I tell him and he says that the group or ID number probably has changed and there’s nothing he can do so I can either wait til they figure it out or fill it with Kroger since I asked him if I should do that earlier.
I go home. Get a picture of the new card and call heb back to verify that the numbers are all the same. I read off the group number and he goes “yeah see that one is different.” Nope it was exactly the same so he’s like I guess I’ll call the insurance tomorrow but we don’t know how long it’ll be.
Long story short, I call Kroger, they transfer the script, get my insurance info and fill the prescription in less than 30 mins. And they’re SO nice and helpful. And way cheaper. So I guess the moral is. Go to Kroger or Walgreens caus the guy that works at the H-E-B Pharmacy isn’t going to...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. This pharmacy’s incompetence is absolutely unacceptable. You have a moral and professional obligation to get people’s prescriptions right—yet in the past week alone, you’ve messed up two of mine. In the past month? Three.
When I asked the female pharmacist how a prescription could possibly get lost in your system, she was shockingly rude. Then today, I picked up two parts of a three-part prescription—only to get home and realize the third part was missing. It never even showed up as “in progress.” Apparently, the pharmacist just shrugged and decided I didn’t need it instead of taking five minutes to check or place an order.
Scott admitted, “I guess they couldn’t find it before, but I have one in stock and just found it.” When I asked why it hadn’t been put “in progress” or ordered, he had no answer—just laughed when I said this pharmacy is a mess. The only reason I got my full prescription today was because I called ahead and told them I was two minutes away. Absolutely...
Read moreThis is the pharmacy I usually go to for it's convenience of location. Though today my visit was made inconvenient. I was led on a goose chase for a claim number. Told to wait for them to find it, and lastly made a phone call to retrieve it. Up until I made the phone call I was made to wait over 2 hours. I was at the pharmacy at approximately 2 P.M and am just back home at 5:32 PM. When I asked the pharmacist attending me as to why I was made to wait so long for me to take make the phone call I was told, " we weren't waiting for the phone call we were waiting on the claim number and the insurance name". All of which was obtainable through the phone call. So I'm baffled why the need for the double speak? Why can't they be honest and say they made a mistake. They were busy so I get if they're mind is going everywhere though a little communication from the get go would've saved a lot of time for everyone involved. Thankfully I have my pain medication now and can...
